BroadSoft Announces Commercial Availability of BroadSoft Hub
Today’s workers have access to a wider range of information more than ever before -- and that is thanks to a number of communication and information technology breakthroughs that allow businesses to connect and collaborate. However, this increased access to data and the proliferation of cloud business applications can cause a bit of a headache for businesses. While these technologies offer convenience to users, they can also lead to information overload, which may lower productivity and heighten confusion in the workplace. In order to create smooth communications across all devices and applications, a number of service providers are bringing new solutions to the voice marketplace. And Broadsoft, a global unified communication software as a service (UCaaS) leader, is now making it possible for organizations to manage their communications better through a new cloud service.
The trusted cloud innovator and market leader recently announced the commercial availability of BroadSoft Hub, an enterprise-grade cloud service that combines BroadSoft Business apps with various cloud apps that companies use regularly. This integration creates effective contextual conversations that can increase workforce productivity and streamline workflows across the board.
BroadSoft Hub - A Conversation Changer
Nowadays, companies no longer rely solely on emails and phone calls to interact with employees, clients, or customers. There are so many tools available that enable organizations to communicate in a variety of channels. However, according to BroadSoft, the real challenge lies in connecting the dots and keeping it all together. A report from International Data Corporation (IDC), a premier market research firm, reveals that despite the vast availability of communication tools, typical knowledge workers still spend around 2.5 hours a day searching for information—precious time that could have been allocated elsewhere.
BroadSoft’s Hub cloud aggregation service works to solve this problem. It makes conversations smarter by combining BroadSoft Business applications with the cloud apps workers use every day, displaying them in one unified view so that everything is in one place -- no more switching screens or moving between application interfaces. And after successful beta trials, BroadSoft's Hub is now commercially available.
Scott Hoffpauir, the Chief Technology Officer at BroadSoft, expressed his excitement about the company’s latest move:
“After successful beta trials over the past year with our service provider customers and enterprise customers, we are thrilled to make Hub commercially available so that businesses of all sizes can transform workforce communications. Hub infuses intelligence into every real-time conversation and meeting. Welcome to the era of the contextual conversation.”
Scott Kinka, the CTO and Founding Partner of Evolve IP, a service provider that participated in the beta trial, also commented on the latest announcement:
“BroadSoft Hub unifies the end-user experience by providing a single working environment for all communications. Hub enables Evolve IP to deliver a solution centered on contextual-sensitive unified communications across numerous business applications, which directly aligns with our strategy.”
Key Capabilities of BroadSoft Hub
Hub bridges the gap between communications and information. It extends its capabilities to all BroadSoft Business apps, including UC-One (unified communications and Team-One (team collaboration). The company has yet to announce the availability of Hub for CC-One (customer contact centers). Remote workers or those constantly on the move can also stay productive wherever they are as Hub offers the ability to retrieve and display information to mobile devices, based on who they are chatting with or calling.
Below are some of the key highlights of BroadSoft Hub that are now commercially available:
- Built-in integrations with leading business apps – Hub offers out-of-the-box pre-integrated applications for Office 365, Google G Suite, Salesforce, Team-One, and Twitter. Additional popular cloud applications to be announced in the future.
- bOpen APIs – With BroadSoft Hub’s open APIs, service providers and third-party developers can also create custom integrations to address the unique needs of business end-users.
- Application enhancements – As a cloud-based service, Hub can easily offer new functionalities to end-users, including new integrations, performance improvements, availability with other BroadSoft Business apps, and user interface (UI) refinements).
