Phones keep rebooting randomly during conversations. The app for Windows keeps crashing machines. They give us fixes that don't fix anything, or say that a fix is in testing (but it missed the last release cycle). These types of things should not be happening in a stable product. We are a simple business. No call center, just a receptionist up front that takes general calls and direct-dial to our people (so their volume isn't too high). Nothing fancy, no call queues. Voicemail transcription is OK, but they don't tell you up front that it is limited to 30 minutes/month before starting extra charges. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't do it with ShoreTel Cloud.
Newly installed ShoreTel System and we can't have ringtone differentiation between an outside call and an internal call! Really. Our 10 year old Avaya system could handle that. Maybe too much focus on cool cloud stuff and not enough on the basics. ShoreTel needs to get real and actually understand hoe their customers operate.
Signed up with commpeak, got all the way through setup, and wanted to clarify the technical route. Then the agent told me that there was a minimum average call duration for the service (despite them offering per-second billing) and that if I didn't meet the average then my service would be cut off. CUT OFF. She tried to debate with me what that meant, but I run a callcenter, I don't have time to mess around with maybes. Suggest staying away from these dishonest people. Unfortunately, we can’t always accept a large number of calls with too low ACD. Carriers consider this as low-quality traffic and may end up blocking channels. We've been with Commpeak for a couple of weeks. Everything worked fine, but suddenly no traffic possible. Commercial issues, pricint went suddenly up and then they just stop your traffice. That is unacceptable. They raised our pricing from 0.009 to 0.3 in one day. We stopped routing through them because this is strange behaviour. So be carefull, they want you to be customer, let you pay your prepaid amount, but then it stops. So, don't upload to much money if you want to use them, use only small amounts. Be aware of sudden price changes and not being able to make any call because of commercial issues. Get a backup connection somewhere else.
