Good price, easy transition, phones were good quality (Polycom), BUT - if anything goes wrong, good luck getting support. Often they're not available, very rarely will they call back, and not customer service "friendly." They just don't get it. I point this out to them and they act like they don't realize they aren't making customers happy - and don't care! I wish I could say there's another VOIP service out there that is markedly better, but I have not seen them as of yet.

Price, Polycom phone
Lack of support, customer service, billing problems.

Was a pretty good overall experience switching over to Net2Phone. It was for our office, so obviously we needed a smooth transition. The initial switch over was done very quickly, and the phone and fax services were both working virtually instantly. I liked their coordination and reliability, I was worried, but went through without any issues. Highly recommend.

I used their fax service for the last 3 years. They took their time explaining the whole process for our business. Customer service was able to assist me and resolve all solutions. So far, I've had a pleasant time working with them.

Nothing but Absolute headaches after switching over to Net2Phone. Initial
switch over was not done properly and the office was without phone service
for over eight hours. Took additional day to get the FAX service working,
switchover was totally uncoordinated and customers were getting 'call can not
be completed' message when dialing the office number. Outages and lack of
service is almost a weekly occurrence and reliability is deplorable. Phones
constantly have to be rebooted to make them work and a request to have the
proper time and date set on the phones has been ongoing for over three
months.

There are no pros
Reliability is unacceptable.

We've had nothing but trouble with this system...multiple issues with no
results. Their support person gives us virtually no help with no results.
We have done everything he has suggested, moving phones, trying whichever
phone is currently not working to an outside network, added additional IP
addresses, purchased a larger POE Switch. We called Panasonic to have them
diagnose the cordless phone and they informed us it was indeed talking to the
base and the problem was with the Net2Phone system. We hired an outside IT
company to come in and put to rest the idea it was our IT infrastructure that
wasn't compatible, but they found (and we informed Net2phone) our side of
this miserable system is working correctly.
We have a small system, (4) phone sets, (1) cordless phone set, (1) fax
machine. It seems to me with just (2) incoming phone lines (1 published and
1 rollover) & (1) dedicated fax line that it should be a reasonably easy
system. But no. Every single time we call Net2Phone for support, or reset
the system, it will work for a short time - 15-30 minutes - and then one of
the devices goes off line. Do you understand....every single time! It
could be the fax machine, the cordless phone, the outside ringer, or one of
the 4 phone sets we have at our counter & desk that stops working. This is
beyond aggravating.
My advice is to never buy, or sign a contract with Net2Phone. You will
regret your decision.

There is nothing good about this system. This system tried to replace a 17 year old system, which never gave us problems. Very bad decision on my part!
Horrible technical service (either they are overworked, they don't care if problems are resolved, or cannot talk to a normal person about IT issues), cheap equipment

I switched to Net2phone from AT&T about a month ago. I have been very
disappointed with the customer service. If I had to do it over, I would not
use them. I may cancel. I got a bill which is billing me for things that do
not make sense and I think are errant. I have called them 3x. I sit on hold
for 10 mins or so, then am told no one is available, leave a voice mail. I
have done so now 3x and have yet to get a call back. What sort of way to
treat customers is this! Let alone a new customer?

technically the phone work well. lots of features. price is better than traditional phone company
cannot get billing to call me back. have tried 3x.

Signed up for their fax service. Very helpful in meeting our business
needs. They helped trouble shoot a third party solution which they did not
have to do. I am able to speak to anyone and get a consistent response. This
is hard to find these days.

Helpful. Easy to Reach.

I signed a 3 year contract with them two days ago... I still have no number
no user account information, no engineer to provision my phone no nothing.
I contacted the sales guy all he said is he would contact his engineering
team yesterday. You should have to wait days on a new turn up for a voip
phone. I don't know if they have a good network or not but as far as a
relationship goes with them I would stay away. IDT Corporation owns this
company.

Fast to take your credit card and sign their 3 year contract
