PanTerra Networks Unveils New UC Solution with Messaging
Today's businesses communicate much differently now that companies are taking advantage of VoIP technologies, cloud communications, third-party integrations, and other tools that are aimed at helping to foster productivity and efficiency in the workplace. In 2017 alone there has been a steady increase in the availability of Unified Communications (UC) in addition to team messaging and other collaboration tools that help businesses work in a much more effective manner.
Recently, leading cloud solutions provider PanTerra Networks unveiled Streams, a new service nested under their cloud platform and tailored towards mid-range to large enterprises who are seeking a real-time communications system.
The Popularity of UC Solutions
Unified Communications, often referenced as simply UC, is steadily being adopted by most businesses as a way for them to easily connect employees and clients in a secure manner. It often integrates a number of communication channels like chat, voice, video, and more with cloud applications and integrations to make for a complete communication solution. UC solutions are perfect for businesses that want to nest all of their communications into one scalable, mobile solution. According to a 2016 survey from Tata Communications, just under 50% of enterprises around the world have deployed UCC with an additional 33% expected to start within the next three years. The survey detailed how there were five major factors defining the growth of UC: simple deployments, easy adoption, scalability/flexibility, stronger services, and new partnerships.
There are a number of additional factors that customers seek in UC solutions, namely:
- High uptime and network reliability
- Team collaboration features like messaging, presence, screenshare, etc.
- High-quality audio and video
- Mobile applications
- Flexibility to work from anywhere
Currently, one of the biggest factors inhibiting the growth of UC in businesses is user adoption. Whether it is because employees are wary of change or because the implementation process is complicated, it is important for companies to plan ahead and consider their end users when bringing a UC solution to the workplace. Companies should inform their users how to use their UC tools as well as why UC is important to the overall business. Today's service providers are helping to combat this roadblock as well by offering easy deployment options, hybrid solutions for easy migration, and dedicated representatives to ease the stress of the adoption process.
PanTerra Networks Introduces Streams to UC Market
Introduced this month, Streams is a unified cloud service for mid-market enterprises. It is an enhancement to PanTerra Network's existing solution WorldSmart, and is a more viable and feature-rich replacement. The Streams solution gives users "the ability to share text, links, images, video, audio, files, folders and even live broadcast streams, tighter unified applications, advanced ConnectMe conferencing features and improved overall usability and performance between applications," according to a press release from the provider.
Highlights of Streams include:
- UC, team collaboration (including messaging), and file sharing all within one solution
- Meeting client named ConnectMe Web Meeting for video conferencing and deskshare, available on both mobile and desktop.
- Real-time analytics from Graphical Analytics and Business Intelligence
- Admin portal with easily configurable privileges
- Third-party integrations with popular CRM applications like Office 365, Outlook, Skype for Business, etc.
Streams is also an entirely mobile solution, with apps for both iOS and Android. PanTerra Networks ensured that all features of Streams are available on all devices so employees could work from any location, even on the go. One innovative feature of Streams includes MobileCall, where a user can move a live call to other devices without any disruption. This feature works in conjunction with Stream's Multiple Active Device Manager (MADM), where you can manage calls and communications on all active, connected devices.
"PanTerra has always led the industry in unified cloud functionality, reliability and security, Streams delivers the future of business communications... today," noted Arthur Chang, the President and CEO of PanTerra Networks. "Anyone that has experienced Streams in action comes away with one word... Wow. Users of the service comment on how immediate the benefits of a unified cloud solution are realized through improvement in their workflow and industry analysts were blown away at how much functionality was seamlessly integrated into a simple, easy to use interface. We are super excited to see such a positive reception of Streams."
