Dialpad Partners with SoftBank to Deliver Business Cloud Communications to Japan
In line with its mission to rid the world of desk phones, San Francisco-based cloud communications solutions provider Dialpad recently inked an alliance with SoftBank Corp. to bring Dialpad’s pure-cloud business communications solution to Japan.
The deal enables Softbank, a multinational Japanese telecommunications and Internet corporation, to offer Dialpad to its customers. It also makes Dialpad the first pure cloud communications provider to enter into the Japanese market, which is one of the largest economies and technology markets in the world.
Equipping the Modern Japanese Workforce with Robust Tools
Kunihiro Fujinaga, Vice President, Enterprise Business Strategy Division at SoftBank said, "In the rapidly-changing and ever-growing cloud market, the need for unified communications is especially high.” Relying on a traditional desk phone alone won’t do anymore, as it ties workers to one location and cuts productivity with its limited functionalities. Plus, with as much as 81% of workers today working away from their desks and completing tasks on the go, organizations simply cannot afford not to switch over to cloud communications.
Daiki Orihara, Vice President, Service Platform Development Division at SoftBank, also said, "We feel certain that Dialpad, a next-generation tool which has challenged established internal communications and legacy fixed-line phones with a new concept, will transform future voice communications." "We will offer this new style of work, the ability to 'connect at any time, with anyone, on any device' to our corporate customers,” he added. More than 2,200 SoftBank sales representatives are now starting to offer Dialpad to their customers, strengthening the cloud communications revolution in Japan.
How Dialpad Helps Businesses Dial in Productivity
Dialpad strongly believes that organizations should go beyond traditional desk phones in order to stay competitive. According to Craig Walker, the CEO of Dialpad, "It's now clear that companies that remain tied to their old desk phones are falling further behind the competition every day.”
Thus, Dialpad is pioneering the new era of 'Work From Anywhere' as it offers a next generation business phone system that lets employees connect and collaborate in any format they choose, on any device, anywhere, and at any time. Below are some of the reasons why Dialpad’s cloud-based solution makes sense for businesses who are seeking a mobile and flexible phone solution:
Cost savings
Dialpad takes away the burden and cost of purchasing, administering, and managing traditional telecommunications structures that hinder business growth. It is a pure cloud solution, which means that businesses no longer have to purchase, manage, or maintain any on-premises servers, storage, or hardwired phones. This results in more savings, which can be reinvested in other areas.
Quick and easy deployment
Unlike traditional communication solutions, Dialpad can be deployed in minutes. This enables organizations (regardless of size) to instantly reap the value of its transition to the cloud by quickly connecting their workers and offices. No need to wait days or even weeks to get a working phone system.
Multiple communication options
All it takes for employees to connect and collaborate with anyone is to simply log into Dialpad’s application interface. Whether workers prefer connecting via voice, video, messaging, or SMS using their desktop or mobile device, they can easily do so with just a few clicks.
Integration with leading business apps
A true business communications solution is one that communicates and integrates seamlessly with other business apps that workers often use. Dialpad ensures workers can access everything they need in one place through integrations with leading CRM, productivity suite, and social network applications such as Google Apps for Work, Office 365, Salesforce, LinkedIn, and more.
