CafeX Expands Enterprise Collaboration Platform with Acquisition of Vayyoo
Leading supplier of real-time digital engagement solutions CafeX Communications recently announced its acquisition of Canadian-based mobile-first virtual meeting room technology provider, Vayyoo.
The acquisition, which was announced the last week of January, is seen as a move that will significantly help CafeX expand its enterprise collaboration platform. No specific financial details regarding the acquisition were announced.
An Enterprise Platform for Busy Stakeholders
Founded by Shailesh Kaul and Arun Munje, Vayyoo offers a mobile-first platform that revolutionizes how modern professionals engage busy clients and executives. Their Vayyoo Rooms offering helps users bring together key stakeholders as well as relevant content and tools to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Some of the company industries that Vayyoo serves include government, manufacturing, financial services, and professional sports.
Rami Musallam, Chief Executive Officer at CafeX, said the company’s acquisition of Vayyoo makes sense because the capabilities and approach of both companies match. "Vayyoo's outcome-driven approach aligns with our vision to deliver contextual collaboration solutions that are adapted to our customers' business objectives," said Musallam.
Shailesh Kaul, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Vayyoo, echoed the same sentiments, saying, "We had initially looked to CafeX as a partner to bring a more robust and seamless collaboration suite to market. As we looked deeper, it became apparent that the capabilities and vision of our two organizations are highly complementary, and a permanent relationship was a natural next step. We are very excited to join the CafeX family and are eager to continue developing collaboration solutions-oriented around business outcomes for enterprises around the world."
Under the terms of the deal, CafeX said that Vayyoo’s innovative collaboration offering, Vayyoo Rooms, will be rebranded as ChimeSpaces.
Real-Time Collaboration on Any Browser
ChimeSpaces offers secure and personalized virtual spaces to engage busy stakeholders for any business activity--from negotiations and approvals to consulting and information enablement. Through ChimeSpaces, stakeholders can easily “share and access digital media, request approvals, review documents, trigger notifications amid many other project tasks.” For greater efficiency, ChimeSpaces also allows users to link with other web services such as Dropbox and Google Drive, which open directly into the room. Additionally, ChimeSpaces is compatible with mobile and desktop platforms and comes with an intuitive management suite for administration and reporting.
CafeX also offers another product that complements nicely with ChimeSpaces: ChimeMeetings. The latter adds one-click visual collaboration that allows all members to collaborate in real-time from any browser, all without requiring any plugins and simultaneously optimizing network resources. Depending on the needs of an organization, ChimeSpaces’ flexible, multi-modal meeting spaces can also be used ad-hoc, project-based or permanent.
According to Musallam, "ChimeSpaces can support a broad range of workflows, from mission-critical projects to longer term engagements with customers and partners. When combined with ChimeMeetings, the joint solution overcomes today's collaboration barriers to accelerate business performance."
