In fact, a study by customer intelligence firm Walker reveals that by 2020, the customer experience will overtake price and product as the key brand differentiator.

Unified Communications as a Service, also known as UCaaS, is a service model where a provider delivers a range of communication and collaboration services over an IP network. Adopting UCaaS over legacy communication solutions is good business sense for many enterprises due to the added applications and business productivity benefits the solution brings. However, despite its popularity, many companies struggle to make the switch to UCaaS due to the seemingly endless options available on the market today.
It’s official: Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN), has stepped into the Unified Communications (UC) ring with its new offering, the Amazon Chime. The launch followed months of speculation that the cloud computing giant was preparing to make its presence felt in the cloud communications arena alongside competitors like Cisco WebEx, Google Hangouts, and Microsoft Skype for Business, as well as pure-play Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) providers like RingCentral, 8x8, and Fuze.
