I live in Mexico, and I need a VoIP to continue business with a Canadian

VoIP paired with Bria softphone has been an excellent combination.
It's been very good, no real issues at all. Even though my mexican Internet
Service Provider can be spotty and weak at times, VoIP has been amazing.

A friend introduced me to VoIP.ms for home telephony service, and I haven't
been disappointed. It's a great service with many a la carte options for
customizing exactly the features you need, including virtual fax lines and
much more. Customer Service has always been super responsive and helpful when
I've contacted them -- which is so rare these days. After switching to VoIP
from a POTS line a couple years ago, I now pay a fraction of what I used to
pay with much better service and features.
If you have a little bit of telephony experience, VoIP.ms is an excellent
choice. Even technically-oriented novices can set up the service easily by
following VoIP.ms's many helpful wiki pages. I've had no reliability issues.
Highly recommend voip.ms - have been using them for a few years for various
projects. Online interface offers so many options free of charge - I love the
SMS capabilities and auto forwarding and call ring group features for
flexibility with my line. I use a VOIP.ms line with my apartment buzzer and
short term guests so they can buzz themselves in with their own phone! The
online interface is very easy to log in to and make changes. No issues with
stability or uptime.

I have had much trouble setting up and connection problems when i first used
Voip.ms.
Their connectivity has improved over time and i get less complaints from my
callers saying i keep cutting out...but the issue still arises from time to
time...once they resolve my connectivity issue then this company would be
golden.

I've been using Voip.ms for over 3 years now and it has been a great way for
me to reduce my mobile phone plan cost. Now I only pay for a data plan
without any phone minutes at a fraction of what I was paying before. I use
VOIP for my voice calls at pennies per phone call and text messages are
always unlimited and free. The technical support at VOIP is great even as a
first time VOIP user I was able to get my smartphone setup to start
making/receiving calls within minutes.
Cost savings
You lose a little bit of reliability because sometimes there are network
problems or problems with the softphone app which can impact your ability to
make/receive phone calls. But this has more to do with the apps than the
service from VOIPms. It's just sometime to be aware of when using VOIP rather
than traditional phone line.
