They stole our phone numbers without our permission. They admitted it in writing and wont make it right. We were a customer a decade probably. Look at their google reviews. No one likes them.

We've run our 600 extension company on NexVortex for over 3 years now. Never seen an outage. Service is always responsive and helpful, and they go the extra mile to help me resolve problems that aren't even theirs. They save us a ton of money over previous providers.

Excellent, reliable service at a good price. Customer support is among the best I've ever seen.
Web interface for 911 configuration is a bit clunky.

Everything is OK while it works. The service was down 5 times this year. The last time it was out two business days in a row. Support does not exists during outages - nobody replies to email, pickup phone, etc. It is not a business solution. Would work as non-critical home office solution. This is not a serious player.

We switched over from Etherspeak in May of 2012. We are a Cisco re-seller that deals with everything but VOIP. I checked into fully managed VOIP and SIP setup with Charter, AT&T, etc. They all wanted big bucks for not alot of function. We did not always have the best experience with our previous SIP provider, and decided to give SIP one last try before going back to old PBX/POTS. We have had a very good experience with NexVortex so far.
I can only speak regarding the features we use. Our shop is all Cisco Unified IP phones, with a Cisco UC540 phone system.
I have NV setup as a SIP trunk directly into our Cisco UC540, over a dedicated SIP/voice T1. Since we are are a small company, we only use around 12 lines at a given time. We also have 2-3 remote users at a given time tunneled back to the main office, all using the same SIP phone system. I can tell you it all works perfectly without issue.
Our biggest concern in switching to NexVortex was uptime/reliability. We did not have the best experience in the past with other SIP providers. I can tell you that is completely different with NexVortex. They are not perfect, and did go down one time in July. Fortunately that outage was only for 30 minutes, and we have not had a single other issue. This is far greater reliability than we have experienced with any other SIP provider.
I love the online interface, and specifically the disaster recovery feature. It has saved us a couple times when our T1 went down, as it automatically sent calls to the old POTS lines. Their billing is accurate, and the rates are reasonable. The call quality is good, even using g729 codec which is what we use. It's one of the few VOIP companies we have found that actually delivers what they promise, at the rate they promised.

nexVortex has been an outstanding vendor for us.  We are a technology integrator and an international re-seller of business communications solutions, a large piece of which is VoIP.  There is no reason to not deploy VoIP within a business because you control the network (which is the principle factor in call quality).  We have an extensive background in telecom with 5E and transport techs on staff.  We are the definitive source for AVAYA PBX configurations (even for Avaya) so we understand the landscape and how reliable the PSTN is and why.
But, when it came time to take the next step, eliminate traditional TDM and POTS in our business we talked to all of our customers and tried a number of vendors.  We were the most impressed with nexVortex.  It took longer to set up initially because of the vetting process but their call quality is outstanding.  We run technical forums for VoIP vendors around the world and so we get to see what everybody is dealing with (good phone systems, good phone companies, bad phone systems or technologies and bad phone companies).
We use and continue to recommend nexVortex because:

  • their call quality is outstanding
  • their rates are reasonable for business
  • they followup and they work with us to find solutions
  • they are reliable
  • their estimates are reliable (turnup time, costs, etc.)
  • their phone-bills are ACCURATE
  • they work with every PBX solution we have tried, and most importantly,
  • they pay their resellers on time.

We are a direct reseller for the number one carrier in the world and we use and recommend nexVortex because it's one piece of our business we don't have to worry about or manage.  Traditional carriers could learn a lot from them.
We use what we sell.  We sell what we use.  If it doesn't work, and work well, we don't recommend or use it.

So, I read these glowing reviews and one that was not so glowing.  What the heck?  I decide to give them a try.  So after taking time to register an account, painstakingly go through the steps picking the plan I want, selecting DID's, features... I submit the order and it shoots me to the main web page and the won't let me login telling my there is a problem with my account.  Help tickets are sent, I get an automated reply but nothing.
I am so sick and tired of the sip trunk companies telling us about their fanatical support. In this case the term was "Superior Customer Service".  I really don't call having a help ticket system that tells you they will be in contact as soon as possible (apparently that means the next business day)... a help site that has an empty knowledge base which looks like it was thrown together in 5 minutes, a registration site that allows you to login just enough to place an order and then it locks you out saying "There is a problem with your account".
Generally speaking, there is a big open spot for a REAL player to come in and start doing this.  People are willing to pay more than the others if you had excellent voice quality, REAL support and a solid foundation in the market.  These companies come and go like wildfire.  Everytime I use one, I get the feeling it is being run out of someone's basement.  The only exception I have found to this is nextiva.  Unfortunately they did not have a plan that worked for my situation.  Maybe I don't get it, but it seems to me if your going to take orders 24/7 then you need ot support it 24/7.  If you not, then tell me in my help ticket that you will look at it during normal business hours.  Also, "there was a problem with your account" doesn't really tell me much.  If you give me the tools to fix the problem myself... I am MORE than willing to do so.
Now thank you all.. I feel better.

I've read these reviews and I understand that everyone has a different experience with any company but what has consistently impressed me about nV is their responsiveness and positive helpful attitude when any issue arises. I would and do recommend them to everyone.

We have been with nV for almost a year now. Our experience has been excellent. In a marketplace of providers all of whom are racing each other to the bottom it has truly been a pleasure to work with a company that exhibits such professionalism and while valuing customer relationships so highly. I recently ran into configuration problem on my side of the connection on a Sunday afternoon and within one hour I had a response from nV pinpointing the problem in MY configuration and including detailed instructions for correction of the issue. nV gets an A+ from Fast Blvd - and is the #1 choice for Business Grade VoIP service on each and every 3CX phone system we install.

As a reseller of IP phone systems, my sales have doubled since bundling with nexVortex. Simple, easy to price plans and better than traditional phone lines for sound quality. Tech support is great as well. I am also now a customer as well as a partner.

We began working with nexVortex in April of 2010.  At that time, one of our clients was using a hosted PBX solution.  The conference calling "feature" of the hosted PBX solution never worked properly.  Too much voice lag, legs getting dropped off, etc.  nexVortex helped us get a conferencing solution setup quickly for this customer to use.  The customer liked the quality of the conferencing so much that when thier contract was up on their hosted PBX solution, we moved them to a local Asterisk based PBX with SIP trunking through nexVortex.  The changeover went smooth as silk, including the number porting process.  The customer has been happy with nexVortex and has indicated to us that the audio quality of their calls is better since moving from the hosted PBX solution.

Nice web interface. Easy to change plans, add features, or change number routing options. Disaster recovery routing of inbound calls is a nice feature that has worked well in our testing. Our channel account manager has been excellent to work with.
