I have had VOIP for a few years now. There have been occasions when I had to
contact their technical folks for assistance reestablishing my account, which
was somehow disconnected for reasons I do not know. However, each time tgat
I needed to reach out to them, they orovided excellent assistance. I am very
happy with this company and recommend them to people all the time. I do not
know if any has ramen he up on the recommendation, as I believe that most
have just disconnected their landline service and use cell phones. I do not
like using cell phones, as the sound quality is often not good. So every
opportunity I get, I do recommend VOIP for home service.

Inexpensive, better sound quality than cell phones.
Occasional technical issues.

We switched out from a Spectrum internet and home phone bundle, because AT&T
Fiber was available in our area. Problem was, AT&T didn't offer home phone
service any longer. So I don't remember how, but I found voip.ms. It's a bit
overkill for a single home phone line, and the setup requires some technical
knowledge, but it works fantastically with our Cisco PAP2T. Their online wiki
helps a lot with configuration, and once it connects for the first time, it's
a fire-and-forget setup. We use the home phone quite a lot, and yet we still
only need to top up $15 every three months or so because the rates are also
really great. Home phone lines are rare these days, but if I hear of someone
in the need for one, I'd recommend they go with voip.ms.

Cost, reliability, device compatibility.
Setup is quite technical in nature.

I've used a few VOIP services in the past, like Magicjack and Google Voice.
The former was too expensive while the latter didn't give much flexibility in
customizing my call experience and they didn't have the number I needed for a
certain city. I got more choices and flexibility with voip.ms, I get to set
how much I want to spend and decide on how many numbers I need. I also get to
set up a my own call device to make and receive calls. So I can choose to
make calls on my mobile device or on a physical phone, with the proper
hardware.

A ton of flexibility when determining how to make calls and how much you want to pay and the prices are super affordable.
Call quality can be spotty sometimes but for the price I'm paying, I don't care as much. You also won't be able to talk to a live person when you need help with something but their wikis are very informative and you still get chat support

I've been using Voip.ms for one year now and it works well. There's a lot of
great features that other voip companies doesn't have. It's easy to setup at
home and it's very stable. The assistance is helpful and very professional.

Cheap, easy to setup, a lot of features, phone assistance is very helpful and professional.
Web interface is a bit too vague and sometimes we can get lost in the selection. No android or iPhone application.

The system offers so much flexibility and choices that all my use cases are
covered.
Either for a simple home use or a complex business system (IVR, MS Teams SBC,
etc)
I know my way around VoIP and SIP and this is a must for this kind of service
Lots of DID area choice. Price is unbeatable.

Lots of options and features Self-Serve Quick provisioning Price is unbeatable Uptime is decent Lots of redundancy
Customer Service is good but sometime just ok, depending on who you talk to. Since it's self-serve we should have access to some of the raw logs.

I was looking for a reliable VOIP provider to pay as I go because I use a
phone line mostly to call my grandparents who are not technically savvy
enough for calls over the internet.
After doing my research I narrowed it down to VoIP.ms and wasn't
disappointed. Number porting was a breeze and prices are very competitive.
You can setup something very simple or go wild with advanced options such as
Call Hunting and Ring Groups. The call quality and the uptime are great.
I only wish they would accept payments in CAD. Otherwise, it's a great
service

I've been a voip.ms customer for several years now, and have been satisfied
with the service provided. I'm a relatively small user, leveraging only a
small fraction of the services they offer, but have been impressed with some
of the more innovative offerings they've come up with over the past couple of
years. The couple of times that I've had to engage their support, they've
been responsive.

Reliable service, responsive support
May lack some of the refinement that some of the larger providers offer.

Cheap, reliable and easy to setup

The Skinny

Founded in 2007, VoIP.ms was built by a group of IT and business professionals who believed there was a better way to bring Internet phone services to companies who, like them, had a desire for high-caliber communications solutions.

Being strictly Bring-Your-Own-Device, VoIP.ms does away with the limitations and costly hand-holding that come along with some telephony providers. This allows us to give unlimited focus to maintaining a widely accessible and feature-rich service.

With offices in Canada, and Mexico, and access points across the globe, VoIP.ms has developed into a truly international business that serves over 80,000 clients, worldwide.

Our Two Cents

It’s no surprise why VoIP.ms is beloved within the community by residential, small businesses and large enterprises. With such flexibility and features being released on a regular basis, they most likely have what you are needing. Additionally, they are a B.Y.O.B (Bring Your Own Device) company. That means that they support the vast majority of devices, applications and servers compatible with VoIP and thus, furthermore providing this feeling of doing what you wish to without being forced into a device or an application.

Whether you are looking for a solution at home, on your mobile or at work, VoIP.ms covers it all, and it’s incredibly affordable!
