There is no way to communicate with this company. They are going out of business. This is another SunRocket!! The company gatch ya. I am canceling my service with them as of now.
I am a former Sun Rocket customer who like many others recently switched to Vonics and would like to share my experience. Like everyone else is saying, Vonics did noting in the time frames that they stated on their web site. I had to call customer service many times to prod them along. I received my device in about 10 days. Could only make outgoing calls. Had to prod them again to get temporary numbers (took about 4 days). Now all is working well. I am just waiting on them to port my old phone number over. I am trying to be patient with them because I know what they are going through right now.
As a former SunRocket customer, I signed up for VoIP service from Vonics on July 17th. My equipment arrived in about 10 days, way too long. To date, 24 days later, I still do not have my old number ported over from my previous carrier. My clients have no way of reaching me. Customer service has been NONEXISTENT. They do not return repeated emails or phone messages. Cheapest is not always the least expensive. Avoid this company!
I have had the service for less than a month ,, it was working excellent until today where during calls you can't hear parts of sentences,, When I try to contact customer service it keeps saying that his option is not valid ,, Someone even told me that they are no longer in service but Vonics didn't contact me about such.If anyone out there is experiencing such problems let me know please.
As a victim of Sunrocket, I diligently researched replacement VOIP providers, and decided on Vonics because of its unusual WorldPhone feature, which would allow me to establish a local number in a foreign country. Apparently because of the Sunrocket fiasco, Vonics has been completely overwhelmed and unable to handle its new customers efficiently. They have been impossible to reach by telephone, and have been slow to respond to messages left or emails sent. Only once I threatened to cancel my order did they finally establish my service, two weeks late. They offer a very attractive service, but they appear to be a shoestring operation that simply can't handle the business they've gotten as a result of the Sunrocket implosion. I hate to say it, but they should be avoided, at least until the Sunrocket fallout ends.
I switched from Vonage. The sound quality is better, but the reliability is about the same. And, of course, the price is untouchable! There is room for improvement, but, on the whole, Vonics does the job.
All I wanted to say is stay away from Vonics .I had this service for almost 2 weeks I coudnt able to make calls ,keep getting disconnected, lots of echo ,there is no customer service ,no technical support,I wonder if this company exist at all- .Today I have called my bank & requested for dispute--,looks like this company is bogus, beware of their innomedia adaptor it sucks ,if you can recall ,sunrocket used to supply innomedia ,when they realized innomedia adaptors are not compatible with cable modem routers ,sun rocket replaced all of innomedia with lynks adaptor,as a matter fact sunrocket loose lots of customers because of innomedia adaptors,My prediction for vonics is, if they dont replace their cheap & thrifty- innomedia adaptors, they will lose a big time & no wonder they will be liquidating soon,
Customer support not there.
None of the e-mails are replied. LNP request don't know the status. Calls are getting dropped.
I wrote a review last week for vonics after my SR and VIOP experience last month. It seems the idiots that run this site deleted it??
Anyway, long story short. After 1 week, my adapter arrived, plugged in and works. I am simply waiting for my number to still port from SR/TB. They responded to emails withing 2 days and verified my porting requeest was recevied. So far the service is working well! Forget trying to call any VOIP services except ATT and Verizon. They are all busy, even vonics. Try email or support tickets.
I'm giving vonics a chance here. I signed up for service a week ago. I had just cancelled service that was never started by voip after SR shut down more then 2 weeks prior. It seems no one, except verizon and att are answering phones. Not even vonage! Everyone is SOOO busy dealing with the mess of the second largest voip service(SR) giving the finger!
I wasn't pleased at first when I signed up and got bogus virtual numbers. I filled out the porting request using that information and faxed it back. Two days later, I get the email from SR saying everything gets shut off on Aug 5. I tried several times to contact vonics to see if this was enough time. No answer. I left 1 email and 1 voice mail message. The next day I started getting email responses. In the past 2 days, I have gotten a total of 6 emails. These included assignment of a working local number. My adapter has shipped, and per UPS is in transit to arrive on the 7th! And an update that my porting request has been received and being processed, and even a note that my number will still be available for more then 30 days after SR turns everything off! SO I will patiently wait. I'm pleased with the companies offerings, especially the free second virtual number that supports distinctive ring so I can save my incoming fax line!
I hope everyone else has success after all this with what ever company or service they choose.
