Verizon Business VoIP Reviews

Verizon, America’s largest wireless provider, is moving over to ‘landlines’ and VoIP technology. Verizon offers a variety of plans, for business phone systems and home phone users. There’s usually a discount if you add Verizon home phone service to your wireless plan.

Verizon bases its business phone service a little different that most other VoIP business providers. Instead of providing unlimited or virtually unlimited calling for a monthly fee, they build the structure around annual volume commitments. Based on your service term or volume commitment, Verizon can offer discounts or special deals. Because this is the case, Verizon’s business service is most appropriately geared toward call centers and other businesses that have high-volume calling needs.

Verizon’s residential services are equally complex: they different services for local calls, long distance calls, and international calls. Please check their website for details and to see if service is available in your area.

Have to continually redial because of 'dead air' on my side of the call. Call rings at recipient end resulting in them answering a call with 'noone' on the other end. Voicewing claims it is a 'Florida' problem. Good luck with obnoxious customer service supervisors. This service is a class action suit waiting to happen, hope some big law firm takes them on.

This is a terrible internet provider! TIMEWARNER SUX!
Over the last few months we have had atleast five of their so called "experts" come to our house and they did not know what the hell they were doing they said things like, "This is a new box, so I might have troubles" or "This doesn't seem to be working" Like the last guy who came here he had to call several times to his employer to ask what to do next, This must be the crapiest ISP and the bad thing is we can't change because we owe them money, If anyone would e-mail me at A_East001@Yahoo.Com and know of a RELIABLE company please do so because I am fed up with the 15.9 KB per second downloads.

The only thing worse than the price of their service is their customer support. Monkeys with index cards could do better. I'm certain their VoIP business plan starts with "STRATEGY 1: Sue everyone who is better than us".

This leading service provider after going out of service continues to charge me on my VISA. All of my attempts to contact their customer support and billing have failed but I was able to reach the tech support people. One guy said he's now aware of any company going out of business, the other recommended me to move my account (already canceled by them) to 'voipyourlife' (another provider). Then I called voipyourlife and found out that dialdigit goes out of business and they recommend all users to move to voipyourlife. (they don't know what's going on with their own companies, maybe their own jobs). A dispute has been submited with my credit card company to recover the last charge of my card and also prevent future attempts. I understand business change from time to time but I will never tolerate any rude behaviour with me and my family. I would not recommend anyone to deal with Dialdigit or VoipYourLife under any circumstances.

First we got FIOS TV and Internet service (GREAT get them with if you can!!!), then Verizon Wireless.
I am very happy with the VOIP service and expecially the price now down to $25 a month. There may be cheaper deals but with Verizon you get friendly USA customer support if needed and we've never had a problem with noise or dropped calls or any disruption of service. But all VOIP won't work if the power goes down you know. Verizon installs a backup power supply for your FIOS router.
Now are you ready for VOIP?
With FIOS bandwidth is not an issue but it might be for DSL and watch- you drop your phone and many companies raise the price of your DSL. Check first
Verizon took a little long to port the number, but use the time to compare your old phone with the VOIP side by side.
My son and I are very happy with voice quality and its great to call all your friends and family without worrying about long distance minutes. But my Husband says some complain of echo but he mostly talks to people on Cell phones.
I love all the web features to control you phone and all the Verizon calling features but I still prefer to use my own answering machine that is in my house rather than Verizon's. But it will take over if you're on another call and take a message, while giving the number by caller ID so you can call back, but yea it seems to be limited to 5-10 seconds, so use your own machine with no problems. Just set Verizon to answer with like 9 rings and your in home machine with answer first.
Verizon charges $1 for 411 directory service in $15 blocks which is ridiculous so use another 411 provider or the phone book.
So I told you all the bad but otherwise its Great. One day we all will have VOIP, so get it now!

An absolute disaster! Switched from Vonage since I had Verizon Fios Internet Service. BIG MISTAKE. Couldn’t make out going calls. Contacted the telephone help desk, and after 5 minutes of pushing buttons got a tech who told me that I had to dial the area code for all calls, even local within my own area code. This is not mentioned anywhere in the already poor documentation that came with the hardware. When checking the website to discover the status of my phone number switch request, I discovered that it was denied. Called again, 5 more minutes of pushing buttons and being placed on hold, I was informed that they “received the request improperly via e-mail,” although I submitted same pursuant to their directions. When I asked how this could happen they just repeated: “sir, I’m sorry but we received the request improperly.” They said that they would re-email the request, whereupon I would have to sign it and fax it back. I AM SWITCHING BACK TO VONAGE.

I signed up about 30 days ago and I have had many calls to tech support. The first day did not work never got dial tone. had to call. had problems with website dose not work for most features. The web site is very SLOW I asked tech and he told me the server it just a small computer in the office and they are going to upgrade it!!!!. I had Vonage and they had many problems also. But I found out after the port of the number is when all is now really going bad. Now all Voice mail was not working and all the feature settings I had setup are gone!!!!, and every time I call they say sorry just reboot all your network and the adaptor. I now have not message waiting indicator, they only have 10 number dialing (had to reprogram all equipment) Even Vonage had 7 number dialing, the Voice mail system did not work after port, at least 5 times the line never rang Thur to the house I found the calls were on the web site list and never rung to my house. So now after 1 yr on Vonage and now 30 days of Voice Wing, I can say Being a computer Tech, that the average Person who just wants to pick up a Phone and have it work to stay away from VOIP and Voice Wing. None are ready for prime time. TO MANY PROBLEMS!!!!!
Stay with a wire phone service.
