TeleBlend Reviews

TeleBlend is a residential VoIP phone service provider that provides broadband phone coverage in 85% of the United States. As a company, TeleBlend strives to deliver full-featured, low-cost, and plug-and-play service to consumers. Plus, with certain deals, you can even get internet as a part of the bargain.

How does TeleBlend work?

TeleBlend works with your existing broadband internet connection and in conjunction with an included TeleBlend adapter (the "Gizmo") to help you make and receive calls. Here is what you will need for TeleBlend service:

  • An existing broadband internet connection
  • A corded or cordless analog phone
  • A TeleBlend adapter (the "Gizmo")

TeleBlend offers a variety of plans. The Unlimited Calling plan is one of the cheapest on the market: only $15.95 a month for unlimited residential calls between the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada—and without a contract. The Unlimited Annual Plan offers the same features and calling, but requires a contract to lock in the lower price. Their Global Unlimited Plan runs a few dollars more per month but includes unlimited calling to 47 popular countries (it also requires a one-year contract). The Global Limited Plan, in contrast, offers 300 international minutes to 42 countries, but without a contract.

TeleBlend’s most cost-effective option is the High-Speed DSL with Phone Plan. This bundle has an upper price limit of $39.99 a month, significantly cheaper than similar broadband internet services, not to mention the included VoIP telephone service.

I signed up with Teleblend 2.5 weeks ago. I've not been able to receive any incoming calls for 5 days. Numerous calls and e-mails to Teleblend to no avail. Yesterday I just switched and I am going to dispute the $15 they charged me for service not received.

No need to port the number you had with SR
Very unreliable service. No voice mail. No international calls. No access to any of the features via their website. Ba

I moved to Teleblend (or Taliban as I'm going to refer to them from now on) and have had nothing but problems. I have not been able to receive any inbound calls ever since moving to them. I opened a ticket with them back on 7/23/07. No response. I called in....waited 30 min....got someone.....they told me they know about this issue and are working on it. Give it a day. I'm going to make this short. It's now 8/9/07. Still no inbound calls. I have called into them everyday since. I've received nothing but the run around everytime I called in. "We're going to fix it. They are working on it". "Aug 5th...yeah...that's the day everything will work...yeah...that's it." "oh THAT problem....that problem they finally figured out 8hrs ago.....that was a software problem. Reset your ATA and everything will be great again" NOT!!!!!! Call back and new answer "We really don't know what that problem is and do not know when we will get it fixed...sorry"

Forced to use them just so I don't lose my existing phone no. after SunRocket closed. Callers always get a busy signal and you can't even call out. The other line can hear their phone ring but both parties can't hear anything. I will definitely switch to another company.

Just plain bad connection!

I switch over to teleblend when my vm service stopped working with sunrocket. I have never talked to anyone in customer service and have called them 100's of times and left messages. But I am still able to go onto the Sunrocket Web Page and check the call log and make changes to my account. As of this date Aug 6, I have not been able to get inbound calls. But I am able to make outbound calls.
I gonna give it a try until the 15th of August. If all the bugs arent out by then I am gonna cancel my credit card and go to VONAGE.

Rolled over to Teleblend on July 26. Have yet to have both inbound and outbound service continously working. Somedays they work somedays not. Right now my friends only get a busy signal if they try to call me, but today I can at least call out, but not to some long distance area codes. Sometimes I get a dial tone but no connection. Very irregular. Still hoping it gets straightened out soon or will have to switch to another provider (which could mean another week of delay in getting service). Big problems for my at home business with customer contacts who must now call my cell number. Hope Teleblend is not a scam. Forget customer service, they are in the weeds.

None today, have to wait to see.

When Sunrocket went out, I chose to just use skype. I have had it a while now and it lets me have several phone numbers in several areas or countries. Call quality is excellent. Only thing is you need to have special phone equipment. I always had my computer on anyway so I chose not to get the phone that does not go through the computer. Mine is cordless though. The only other thing is you have to dial the area code for every call but you can set many speed dial numbers to avoid the long dialing on your most frequent calls.

I too switched to Teleblend because it seemed like the easy way to go in the face of detiorating SR service. Initially, things were immediately better. Then starting 7/29 we stopped being able to receive calls. I initiated 3 "service tickets" and never received a response. I found that the best time to contact this organization is after 11:00p.m EDT. You can actually get someone and not wait for hours. Starting 8/3 I've been unable to call out to land lines. I can still contact cell phones. And no one can call in yet. This morning I was able to get thru to a service rep who actually confessed that there were problems. Their goal is to have them straightened away by Wednesday. I'm frustrated but will probably wait until Thursday.

s rocket was working great when i changed over to teleblend on 7/29/07 and for the next two and a half days my service was ok, then the roof fell in on 8/1/07 no incoming or outgoing calls at all. I got an email from a friend that switched over with me to t-blend (he could not reach me by phone) saying that t-blend was a bogus company
