TeleBlend Reviews

TeleBlend is a residential VoIP phone service provider that provides broadband phone coverage in 85% of the United States. As a company, TeleBlend strives to deliver full-featured, low-cost, and plug-and-play service to consumers. Plus, with certain deals, you can even get internet as a part of the bargain.

How does TeleBlend work?

TeleBlend works with your existing broadband internet connection and in conjunction with an included TeleBlend adapter (the "Gizmo") to help you make and receive calls. Here is what you will need for TeleBlend service:

  • An existing broadband internet connection
  • A corded or cordless analog phone
  • A TeleBlend adapter (the "Gizmo")

 

TeleBlend offers a variety of plans. The Unlimited Calling plan is one of the cheapest on the market: only $15.95 a month for unlimited residential calls between the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada—and without a contract. The Unlimited Annual Plan offers the same features and calling, but requires a contract to lock in the lower price. Their Global Unlimited Plan runs a few dollars more per month but includes unlimited calling to 47 popular countries (it also requires a one-year contract). The Global Limited Plan, in contrast, offers 300 international minutes to 42 countries, but without a contract.

TeleBlend’s most cost-effective option is the High-Speed DSL with Phone Plan. This bundle has an upper price limit of $39.99 a month, significantly cheaper than similar broadband internet services, not to mention the included VoIP telephone service.

Was an old Sunrocket customer until the changeover to Teleblend years ago. Since then they have changed their hardware/software several times, each time getting worse than the last. Currently the last change, sometime in July of 2018, features of call blocking, forwarding, caller ID, and more have become non existent. They have no phone service of their own for support or service. Everything is done by email. Looking into reporting to PUC and any other agency if they try to prevent me from porting my number to another service. Their cost is also no longer competitive. $27ish yet advertised for $15.99. Absolutely unacceptable!!! In the beginning I was only loyal since Sunrocket was awesome. Lesson learned...

LOL not a single pro to this service. Apparently run by hackers.

I transferred from Sunrocket to Teleblend many years ago. Since then their Price has gone Up and Up and Service and Quality have gone Down and Down. There is NO phone that will get you to their offices... everything is by email IF they even respond! Their website just got changed and now Call Fowarding is almost impossible to use, Call Blocking is gone,, and ALL MY CONTACTS HAVE BEEN LOST!! AND Now (2 times) I have tried to take my number from them to another company and they WILL NOT RELEASE MY PHONE NUMBER FOR PORTING.!!! This happened in 2015 (with basic talk VOIP) and now again in 2018 with Comcast/xfinity mobile. I have filed a complaint with the FCC. Do NOT sign up with Teleblend,,, and whatever you do... don't sign up with a number you want to keep!! They are the WORST PHONE COMPANY ON THE PLANET!! Mike in Rockford Illinois

I rebooted the motem figuring hurricane Matthew may have had something to do
with it. But it did not reboot. I sent a message (you can't talk to a human
being). A day later I received an email telling me my account had been
cancelled. I DID NOT cancel the account. I emailed them back and stated the
fact. Didn't hear anything. Sent another message on Wednesday evening
asking what was happening with my phone as I had not heard anything and again
restated I did not cancel my account.
I just checked my email telling me they had reinstated my account until they
can determine what happened. I went to close down my email when I noticed an
email from my credit card saying there was a charge to my account and the
card was not present. It was Teleblend charging me $102.84. I am assuming to
reinstate my account. I again emailed them and said I didn't think so.
Maybe I will just cancel my account.

At this time there are NONE!

They are tring to charge me $35 a month for months they have not even provided service.

My service was down for over a month. When I looked at my account I notices my rate each month went up and up to $34 a month. Then I see them offering new customers a rate of $6.95.<br />
It takes their customer service department a VERY long time to get back to you and they will not directly answer my question regarding my month rate and changing my plan to a better rate.<br />
Too much competition out there for this poor customer service, I am OUT!

Nobody has been able to call me for D A Y S (July 2015) and Teleblend's tech staff obviously is clueless as to how to cure the problem. I can call out but not receive calls. This is not an isolated problem but is screwing up perhaps thousands of Teleblend's customers. I can't make Dr. appointments and customers cannot reach me by phone.
Teleblend is NOT a bargain by any measure.
Sometimes it would be better to have a string and two Dixie cups as a length of string.
MagicJack and Walmart both offer less expensive alternatives.

I called them on this last year about their cost. Now they are doing it again.
I do not trust them.....
The automatically increase your bill. They say "read your contract". The contract allows them to charge whatever they want. My phone bill is only $10 but with all the fee's it is $32.24. When I call them on it they say "The fee's are in the contract". I have voip hardware from a previous company (there is no cost to them). I provide my own internet service.

Sent Teleblend the goodbye letter today. I have been patient with them to a fault. I have
been with Teleblend since day one when they absorbed SUNROCKET, which also went down in a ball
of flames. There have been (3) ridiculous rate increases in the last 11 months alone having nothing to do
with regulatory govt fees or legislation of any kind, a "service fee".
I can only hope they stay in business long enough for me to port my old phone number to
the new provider.

Included features, no contract available.
Inexplicable service blackouts that include their email support, all phone numbers, their domain and YOUR PHONE SERVICE! $39.99 cancellation fee! per account, even if you are not under a contract.

now very difficult to make any contacts with customer service; past two days, the service is NOT working.
Hate to see this voip go down

good clear calls, have had no problems since 2006/7 when I first took the service
in the past two years 2013-2014 there has been no customer services. Prices have gone sky high way more than other voips. yesterday 3/12/2015 the service has gone DEAD and the online acct manager can not be found. Has this company gone the same way as the old Sun Rocket? I think I may have to bail out and claim a credit on my CC for 10 months of undelivered merchandise.

HELP ............... does anyone know what happend to Teleblend? Does anyone know how to get my number back?
This is terrible to leave people just hanging. My husband has medical issues this is the number his medical team call and now it is just gone.

Originally with Sunrocket, then it transferred to Teleblend. So I am a long time customer.
The past year if you called our house incoming callers would often not hear the phone ring, it would be silient for them. Now on March 12, 2015 our phone does not work at all. I went to www.teleblend.com and it is simply gone, does not exsist, no warning nothing. I have had my phone number for over about 15 years and now I can not receive any phone calls, no warning nothing. What happened? Where did Teleblend go? How do I get my number back?
