Here goes......new customer unfortunately! My service was to be hooked up
June 7th between 8 and 5. The tech (Mr Garcia) came asked to see phone jacks.
Said he'd be right back went outside came back in told me he needed a cable
technician to come and fix the outside cable before he can do the inside.
But it would be today when it would be done. Nope no call no return.
Thursday morning at 8 am I called back. They sent me to an escalation
manager. She said she wasn't sure what happened hold on and she would
contact that supervisor and find out. She came back on the line and told me
the same thing that Mr Garcia did the day before only that he and the cable
tech gentleman would be there today (Thursday) to install my internet. No
call no show. I called several times during the day and verified they were
coming and got the same yes reply. But no one showed up. Friday rolls
around and again I call I speak to Holly who immediately transfers me to tech
support. And I speak to a really helpful girl named Mattie. She called
around and told me that at 6:20 pm a tech with I.D. Number AB58600 was going
to install my internet. Well guess what he didn't show UP! When I called
back they once again transferred me to another escalation manager who
wouldn't give me her name, and told me " Your service isn't scheduled for
installation until June 12th and that's that!" There's nothing more we can
do! Can you believe this B.S. I have my email from Century Link and on it,
it states June 7th as an installation date. So where do they get off lying?
And how do they get away with this shit? Does no one care in higher places?
They are treating your customers like this? If I do not get this service on
Monday I'm done!! I will blast you on all social media I can!!

There are NONE your company sucks!!
This company is a joke!! They lie to you!

I wanted to go through centurylink to get my internet. The 1st time I called
they said they would send me an email with the information and a
comformation, never got that email. So I called them the day before they were
going to come to make sure they still were coming and see if I could get them
to come in the time frame of 3-4, as I have work like normal people, and the
time frame of them showing up from 12-4 is hard to do. They said they couldnt
contact the installation man and request that. So I made sure I, or someone,
was home all day. At 3:30 they still had not showed up so I called to see if
they were still coming, they said they should be and they would page the
installation guy and his supervisor and that one of them would contact me
soon. At 5:30 I still had not heard from anyone, so I called again. I got the
same response and was told they should still be coming. They never did come.
So I called the next day and asked if I was still getting service or if I
needed to find a new provider. They told me that the guy HAD actually come
but never contacted me and from here it was a self installed thing... so I
spent several hours trying to get my internet to work, even went out and
bought a new modem because I thought that was the issue. After almost $100
worth of new stuff I call them yet again and they tell me that I in fact
still have a pending order and no internet has been installed. So now I am
trying to contact them to tell them that I will be going with another
provider but since they have yet to contact me in any form I think I might
just not bother.

The price is lower
You can not talk to anyone from the local area or the people actually installing your product. you get bounced from one department to department

Just started service today...I was given an installation window of 8am - 5pm
(they came around 3pm...day wasted). The internet worked for about three
hours before going out. I called customer service and they proceeded to tell
me that it was installed incorrectly by the technician and I was then walked
through doing it myself (so I paid an install fee for nothing). I was then
informed that the "up to 40 mbps speeds" I was paying $30+ a month for really
only gets 1.5 mbps in my area. I am getting 1/40th of the speed for the same
price!? Unbelievable. I was informed that it should work fine as long as I'm
only using one device at a time...so I guess my bf and I will take it in
shifts trying to get any work done.

Install guy was kind and customer service rep was professional
Literally everything else. Speed is crap, price is unfair for coverage, modem was incorrectly installed, whole day was spent wasted on the useless service.
