DO NOT SIGNUP, DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NO, TO THESE PEOPLE.
Yes I was stupid to signup with them on 16th March. After 20 days they fail to provide me with my primary number, and tricked me into using their outgoing call so that they could claim that I used their services , so they will not give me any refund. they kept on promising to give me the number everyday, then I realised that they are just buying time to cross the "return period" so that they can digest the setup cost and the first monts fee.
Guess what when I signed up another service prvider I received my phone no. in the very instant. Why do I call them cheat ?
because they charged me the shipping and had not paid their shipper, the shipper charged me for the shipment.
When I call their no. they put me on hold over 20 minutes, pretending that their system is not working that time. I called them 10 times in last 20 days.
And guess what bogus transaction shows up in my account and they charge me for those !
Their 800 numbers appear invalid, any any email to their address bounce back. I send them a fax, and they refuse to acknowledge the receipt.
Their managers pretends to fall ill day after days and report to be medical leave whenever I want to speak to them.
So I got quite scared that this is a vogus company trying to cheat. And when I read all the reviews in the internet i decided to cancel the service and report them to the credit card company.
I fear these people may be also selling credit card information to others.
I will have to cancel my credit card now.

I am writing this so others do not get cheated by them.
I signed up for their services on 16th March, they charged me for shipping of the terminal. I had asked for a primary number and a virtual number.
Seems actually they had not paid the shipper though they took the money from me. The shipper charged me again for the equipment shipment.
Then for next few weeks (20 days) my service is still not up. I am not assigned my 416 area code number, every day they tell me it will happen tomorrow. And I was loosing my earnings (I am a consultant) as I didnt get my phone line up. When I sign up from Vonage I get my phone number within 5 minutes, so its not that the phone numbers are not available.
On the otherhand these people goes on playing with my account, bogus transactions shows up, for which charges appear.
When I call them to to speak to them, they put me on hold for 10 to 20 minutes, their supervisor pretends to be not in office. The emails I send them bounces back. And there 1 877 no appears to be "invalid", when I call from my area.
These people are just buying time, so that the 14 day "return" period is over, so that they can charge my the setup of fee atleast.
When I call up customer service, they pretend that their system is very slow that day, and put me on 10 to 20 minute hold.
Its a cheap company, so I canceled my service with them.
And started the usual legal process to get my dollers back.

I subscribed last February 24 '06, I was told I'll be recieving the DTA in 7-10 business days together with my working telephone number. The good thing is, I received the phone adapter in 5 business days. So everything was set-up and works perfectly so now I can make an outgoing but no incoming call coz until now its March 14. I still don't recieve the assigned number since I can't keep my existing number due to service availability.
One more thing, I can't believed that I'll be having problem contacting their own telephone number 1-888 VOIP 255 or 1-877 VOIP NET and 1888 864 7313 either customer service or sales, all I got is a busy tone. I've been contacting their customer service for couples times but until now the problem is not resolved yet.

Finally I was able to get in touch with a Customer Rep. this am. I've trying really hard for 2 days.
And they just let me know that I had to use another phone line (not my own voip number) to get to Service Reps. I wonder if I'm missing calls due to people not being able to contact me ??
Everything is fine now.
Voice Quality is good and after I got thru the service phone # they were good as well in resolving my questions.

What ever you do don't sign up for this service. They are horrible. First of all thier caller ID doesn't include a name. They have THE WORST customer service. Every time I call I get to do the same idiotic procedure of turning the adapter on and off and sticking a pin in the back (Oh, thanks, I would of never thought of sticking a pin in the reset hole. DUH)this never helps. I get the same person every time I call, if he cant help me, I cant hang up and talk to another person because I'll get the same one. Oh, yeah I ordered the service 1 month ago and they still cant get it to work. Just recently I started calling them and after I hold for 40 minutes the Jackasses just hang up on me. They don't even have the decency to tell me it's thier break time. Well at least it cost's 19.99 a month, WRONG. With the startup fees of 46.95 you might as well go with some other service that costs 25 a month with no startup cost. Go with a better service your time is worth more than 19.99 a month.

Well, what can I say, I get what I paid for, for $19.99. The sound quality is great sometimes but then sometimes it's horrible. When it is horrible I here my own voice echoed back to me. I dont know if its the service or this cheap looking adapter. But at least the service doesn't fail like viatalk, another VOIP I subscribe to. Oh yeah, good luck trying to get customer service to help if you have a problem. Many times they just make things worse. For example when I first subsribed to the service I put in my order, two weeks later I had not recieved the adapter. So I called customer service. They told my my adapter still hadn't been sent out, but it would be that same day. Two days later I sign in to thier website and I see that the IDIOTS sent me two adapters instead of one. I still don't know if they charged me for both.

I was very skeptical about this voip thing. But VoIP.net made it a very smooth transition. There customer service was helpful in setting this up. There quality of call was like my AT&T. Glad I switched. I saved alot of money.
I would recommend to friends and family

Voice Quality with VoIP.net is dismal at best. Dropped packets seem to be the problem, as there are many "holes" in the conversation, much like a poor cell phone call. I love the concept of internet calling, but the voice quality REALLY needs improving!
