Signed up for this service when Sunrocket whent out of buesness, they count time from when you sign up. After a week there was no sign of the Phone adapter being sent on the Carriers Web page after a couple of emails finaly recieved the equipment so much for the month to try the service out, I found the service quality was much worse that the quality I had with Sun rocket. Not only a lot of interference but also a lot of dropping of calls. I was not able to work with them on because as my phone adaptor came 2 weeks into my first month and I figured I should try the phone a couple of times on different days to make sure the problem was not just a bad call. I then requested disconnect through the web sight. This was the only thing that happened quickly. but even though I terminated befor the end of the month period and this was confirmed and I followed their instructions in mailing back the equipment they still charged my credit card with the next months service and a disconect fee. Complaining to support was useless and all I was able to get was able to get was a vage reference to small print (which I feel I had complied with to the letter). Thus I had a very expencive 10 days of VoIP service.

I have been their client for over 4 months now, If you want new phone number every 2 weeks and you have a lot of patience this is the service for you. They have big problems with the tehnical department I think, are incompetents. if you get it to work don't touch it, or do not call them.
i like the price, I like the features, and when it works I am very happy with it. it is sad that they have a good system in their hands and are unable to make it work properly and rake the money in.

PLEASE Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go with voip.net. This has got to be the WORST service I've every received in my LIFE!.
Here are the reasons why I HATE voip.net and LOVE Vonage.
#1.CUSTOMER SERVICE:Voipnet(HATE) Their Customer Service office and technical support is only available between 9-5 during the week. NO WEEK-ends. This means if you have problems with your account/phone on friday at 5:30pm, you have to wait until monday after 9:00am to try to call them! That's if you don't get disconnected
Customer Service: VONAGE (LOVE)
You can call them ANY TIME for help on ANYTHING and you don't get disconnected. An actual HUMAN answers instead of a MACHINE and you don't get disconnected! 24/7 for Customer service AND technical Support.
#2: Receiving the device
VOIP.NET (HATE)
I never got the dam device to work and the technical help wasn't good at all! I had to return the device and am now trying to ge REIMBURSED! (Which i doubt those stupid asses would do)
Vonage (LOVE)
I received the device, plugged it in and presto! Everything was working and had NO Issues since.
GO VONAGE!

I ported four numbers in May 2006 to VOIP.net. One was the primary line and three were "virtual numbers" When service was established my phone service was interrupted for over 24 hours. Upon restoration, only primary line was activate. I attempted to have the other lines activated to no avail. After numerous hours of waiting on hold, I gave up and began the process of porting my lines back to Verizon. Their call center is horrible. Unless you call at 9am when the open, you'll likely be on hold for at least 30-45 minutes. That's if you're not cut off or sent a voice mail box which doesn't accept messages. Two months later I'm still trying to have numbers ported back. They've never restored the three virtual numbers and actually disconnected one. They contract out their technical support work so god only knows who you're actually dealing with. I've had several occassions where voice mail doesn't pick up or the calls fail to forward to my cell phone. I think that sometimes the calls just ring into the abyss. They don't return calls or emails. What a staggering level of ineptitude. I've filed complaints with the BBB and FL Consumer Affairs. Two months later and this has been the worst customer service experience ever. Stay away from them. Run, don't walk!!!!

OK, these guys must be out of business. Haven't had service for weeks. I did talk to tech support 2 weeks ago but they never called back or emailed as promised. Now, can't get a hold of anyone, in any department. Had to go to another provider and sent voip.net an email telling them goodbye.

If you are considering Voip.net for your Voip service, PLEASE RUN FAST! We signed up with them over a year ago and it worked fine for a while, but now it seems they have no staff at all. You used to be able to at least get someone to answer the phone, but now, I think there isn't even ANYONE that works there! If you call for sales, billing, support, whatever - no one EVER comes to the line. If you try and use their chat, you can leave the window open for hours and no one comes on. And today...our phone line is dead. We had a problem porting another number through their service and when they screwed that up and we called to find out what was going on, that's when we noticed their support problems. Good thing we called Packet8 right away and are just waiting to get our line ported over...RUN AWAY!!!

30 day Guarantee: I never received my credit card refund after returning the phone adaptor, even with a valid return number#. After 4 months and 10 attemps on phone and email, I lost $150.
