TeleBlend Reviews

TeleBlend is a residential VoIP phone service provider that provides broadband phone coverage in 85% of the United States. As a company, TeleBlend strives to deliver full-featured, low-cost, and plug-and-play service to consumers. Plus, with certain deals, you can even get internet as a part of the bargain.

How does TeleBlend work?

TeleBlend works with your existing broadband internet connection and in conjunction with an included TeleBlend adapter (the "Gizmo") to help you make and receive calls. Here is what you will need for TeleBlend service:

  • An existing broadband internet connection
  • A corded or cordless analog phone
  • A TeleBlend adapter (the "Gizmo")

 

TeleBlend offers a variety of plans. The Unlimited Calling plan is one of the cheapest on the market: only $15.95 a month for unlimited residential calls between the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada—and without a contract. The Unlimited Annual Plan offers the same features and calling, but requires a contract to lock in the lower price. Their Global Unlimited Plan runs a few dollars more per month but includes unlimited calling to 47 popular countries (it also requires a one-year contract). The Global Limited Plan, in contrast, offers 300 international minutes to 42 countries, but without a contract.

TeleBlend’s most cost-effective option is the High-Speed DSL with Phone Plan. This bundle has an upper price limit of $39.99 a month, significantly cheaper than similar broadband internet services, not to mention the included VoIP telephone service.

We were with Sunrocket until they went bankrupt and we lost a lot of money. We went to teleblend because we did not have to purchase or otherwise wait for additional equipment and it was the least expensive around, which was a bonus especially for already losing cash on that other company.
Well this alternative was not any better. The voice quality was spotty at best and their customer service did nothing about it but offer excuses as to them being new. There is a very long wait for customer service the majority of the time, ie: 1 hour minimum. Now recently we have virtually been withouth a phone because we can not receive calls, only place outgoing calls. We get an "number is unallocated" message on one number and the "disconnected" message on our second number, of which we were promised we would retain that number from Sunrocket. This problem has been going on for over three weeks now and literally countless phone calls to customer support with the standard "your service will be fixed in 48 hours, and you will need to reset your modems" empty promises.
Our patience is exhausted. We are switching our service immediately.

been out for 4 days ,why ? Noone at customer service can figure it out.Have waited 15-20 minutes without an answer.Now there saying it could be the gizmo,but they don't have any more.Can't tell me when the'll have some.GOTTA GO_GOTTA GO

I could understand how swamped they must be during the first 2 months when they took over from Sunrocket. But this is now Oct 2007 people! Yet still no one bothers to pick up the phone to answer a simple question from their customers. If you think you will get a response by sending your request through the web, you are WRONG! I've never heard anything back from them. Did you not see that they didn't even bother to respond to any of the bad review in this webpage?

Lets get this straight - I got the gottcha from Sunrocket - had their service for 5 weeks - they go belly up - Teleblend takes over - and the service still sucks! From what I hear Teleblend is Sunrocket folks that just ripped off the consumer by going belly up - then - they snagged the phone numbers of the "old" Sunrocket customers - and basically forced me to sign up with them to maintain my phone number!
The problems Sunrocket had are nothing compared to these wonderful folks! Dropped calls are the norm - calling out - you might as well wish in one hand and shit in the other - guess which hanmd fills first! After 5 - maybe 10 tries - the calls finally go through this system - only to be dropped in seconds! Be forwarned - this company is going out of business as fast as they opened this turkey!

I sent a request to cancel my service within 10-days of porting from SunRocket. Even after 2-months, my account is not closed and the company keep charging my credit card. No option to delete the credit card number from my billing option. The trouble ticket I created with this request had been closed without any action. No way of reaching any CSR.

was a happy sunrocket customer that was stupid and went with this disaster of a company. ABSOLUTELY NO customer Serivce they never answer you even when you don't have service. Promises of call back and fix never delivered

overall I think teleblend has performed as well as could expectd under the circumstances with the sunrocket fiasco. I have found them to be making great progress. I stayed with them and I'm glad i did.

here it is Sept 07, fortunately my teleblend on my secondary number is still working and of course using all the SunRocket equipment, features and voice mail. hope they stay afloat as the SR system was a great phone company till they lost control of the dollars!
my main voip service is VoIP.com.

As a former SunRocket customer, I am disappointed. I switched to Teleblend thinking that they would honor most of SunRocket's terms. I was informed that I had to pay $4.99/month for my virtual number but it was thought that I would get a $3 International Service Credit. They were extremely slow posting their International Service rates and when I called, I was told there was no credit toward International calls. Furthermore, I did not have International calling for the first month or so, their web pages are still located on the old SunRocket domain, they still have not switched it after almost 3 months. I have to go to SunRocket's old web pages to make configuration changes. I am currently switching my phone service to another VoIP provider out of frustration with Teleblend. They are collecting my money but not providing the service that they touted.

I was a sunrocket customer, very happy for a year, but as you know it broke. so I picked teleblend that says that give the same as sunrocket, I never knew when the changes happens. since August I cannot made local calls, only national and international calls, some times you can receive calls because incomming calls dont work the most of the time.
The only good is the call blocking, call foward, and the 100 minutes free of international calls.
Teleblend have the worst customer service of all companies, they never resolve your issues, from 40 tickets, they never resolve one of my problems
