Got the equipment fast but it did't even power up. Tech support e-mail was a form e-mail telling me they had tried to contact me via phone multiple but could not reach me. That was a lie and then put some garbage about trying different hooks up. Can't reach by phone and will not respond to e-mail. Do not use this service!

well i guess you get what you pay for. i have had zingotel for over a year now and this isnt something i use all the time, i mainly got it so my wife would stop burning up her cell phone minutes. This company is crap, I have had to reset the equipment to get phone service to work correctly since I got it. There are time when there is no dial tone, but once I reset the device it works. Also times when there is a dial tone and no one can hear me, or I can't hear the other party, or I dial out and the call doesn't connect, just dead silence. I should of changed companies along time ago.....

I am with them for three months now and experience outage, dropped calls, busy signals, and "number has been disconnected" messages several times a week.
I could not imagine worse service. I have spoken to the customer rep at zingotel more than any other person that I do business with this year. You should not have to worry about your phone service, but with them it will become a daily concern.

I would give them a -10000 rating if I could. I've had a horrible experience with this company. Initially I had subscribed for service with Tringotel. I had looked at the reviews then and they seemed okay. That was Dec 6th, 2006. I had wished the equipement to be shipped to India so that my folks could reach me anytime they want. This was a very cheap alternative to conventional expensive international calls. But, it remained only a wish. Fifteen days later I was sent a tracking number that my phone was finally shipped and it would reach me in about 5 business days. No worries so far. I kept checking the tracking number for first couple of days. They used DTDC (another fraud courier company) for service. Their website would occasionally work and their updates lag behind 2-3 days. So, after about 5 days, even though the package never reached me, it seemed to be en-route correctly. Then there was a weekend in between and the following Monday I suddenly saw that their website showed the package delivered in some other part of India. It had come correctly 80% of the way and then suddenly took a reverse turn and got delivered somewhere else very close to the origin. I called the courier company (it wasn't a toll free call) only to be hung up after being on hold for a while. After couple of tries, I was simply told that they will look into it. Then I tried to contact Tringotel and they said that they will follow up with the courier company. Neither the courier company or Tringotel ever came back telling me the status of my package. It kept going on for a while on e-mails because Tringotel customer support was hard to reach. I was so tired by now that I decided to cancel it. One day after lot of tries, I did speak to someone at Tringotel and he assured me that I just need to hang on for a few more days and if they still can't track the package they will cancel my service and give me a refund. I didn't know what they had in their mind. Then one fine day, I receive an e-mail saying that the prices have been increased. (And for what, leave alone not providing any service but not even delivering the equipment). I called them again to cancel it for good without any more excuses but it went to voicemail. I even tried their sales department hoping someone would pick up there but no luck. So, I wrote them yet another e-mail to finally cancel it. This time they responded after 2 days saying that saying apparently (according to them) I had not received an earlier e-mail from them that they no longer held my account and it was transferred to Zingotel (without my permission or knowledge?).
Then another drama started. I started calling Zingo at various times hoping that they would pick up the phone but only voicemail. At least once I spoke to someone at Tringotel but Zingo was worse. Within couple days I saw a two month charge on my credit card (the one I used to register). Promptly I wrote them an e-mail explaining the situation (since they may not be aware of what was going on with Tringotel and non-delivery of equipement and asking them to cancel my service promptly with a full refund. I received an e-mail from them asking me to look at my "Service Agreement" and that my service was cancelled and a RMA issued via e-mail. (A service agreement is for providing service, I did not even get a phone). Anyways, I never received any RMA e-mail from them. I sent another couple e-mails (since phone goes to voicemail) asking me to credit the amounts they have charged me earlier. They responded once saying that my account was cancelled (and thats all). Then this month I see another 39.99 charge. I've asked my CC company to dispute the charges and cancel my card so that they can no longer bill me.
I have gone through so much metal pain and agony that I really want this FRAUD company to be shut down ASAP. They are a scam and cheating people. Government should be taking action against such rip-offs. I'm so tired now that if they don't refund me the charges I'm probably going to sue them. It may not be a whole lot of money but a matter of principal. I will not spare them if they treat me like this. I've already lost so much peace of mind, waste of time and money.

STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY!

You will lose your peace of mind and no phone service (or rather no equipement at all).

I am currently a customer of theirs and I havent been able to answer an incoming call for 8 days. Have called customer service and emailed several times. Apparently their main voip server went down last thursday and the backup is clearly misconfigured. Loosing my mind here. I would stay away from this company

The worst part of zingo is there tech support, but what can you expect from a company that only have 3 employees on their tech support!!! what they can do no. plus I hear that his boss Frank is and ass I have friends that have spoke whit that guy and he treat people like sh....t plus they charge $39.99 cancellation fee plus taxes that’s nice for a company that have the service 60% off the time down. Plus on the unlimited plan they just give 2500 minutes to the customers, and if you exceed the 2500 minutes they switch your account to the business plan. This mean from 19.95 to 49.95 plus taxes. the taxes if you check with the FCC or your local government they charge the double on taxes. My best friend have the 5.95 plan and he paid 6 ** on taxes. that’s funny and after he cancel he paid the 39.99 cancellation fee he return the device and he was send to collections, why because they lose his device I will ask him for the tracking number and you will be able to check that they receive the device. Plus they cancel all the reseller program and they never paid the resellers for all the sales made. If you want to be treat it like garbage you can call zingotel support, probably you will get the voice mail.
