Well like a bunch of other people lately I was forced to find a new VOIP provider after Sunrocket dumped all its customers. I came to this site to see what others had to say about various VOIP providers. I saw VOIPYOURLIFE had very good reviews and thought I'd give them a try. My goodness what a difference between them and Sunrocket. When I signed up with Sunrocket it took two weeks before the number they gave me was active. When I did become active Caller ID didn't work, there was static, echoes in calls, dropped calls, dead air, etc etc. It took many calls to their customer support to get things resolved.
I signed up with VOIPYOURLIFE on Monday evening, immediately my number was ready. I called it from my cell phone and my voicemail was already set up. I then downloaded their X-lite softphone to see if I could use that while I was waiting for my Linksys device. That worked like a charm and I was able to start making and receiving calls immediately. I had to call their customer support as I had a question about the X-lite set up and I got through to a human being that could speak english. Three days later I got my Linksys VOIP adapter. I plugged it in and like magic everything works. I made a few calls last night and everyone I spoke to remarked at how clear the sound was. Caller ID worked immediately as has everything else with VOIPYOURLIFE. I should have switched to them a long time ago. One thing that VOIPYOURLIFE has that Sunrocket didn't was the Wake Up Call. I tried it before going to bed last night and this morning at 6am my phone rang. I felt like I was in a fancy hotel.
Based on what I've experienced so far with these folks I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone.

Voip Your Life's service quality is outstanding! As good if not better than a "real phone" in terms of communication quality - much richer in terms of features/cost than any other "regular" telco out there. You can compare the other VOIP providers, but in my opinion this is the BEST value, great sound, & outstanding client support.
When you call them - instead of a "menu" you always speak to a REAL LIVE PERSON everytime!!! PLUS they ALWAYS have the answers & know there "stuff" inside out - polite, well trained, intelligent, helpful, caring (they don't try to rush you off..)
What are you waiting for? If technology is challenging for you, don't worry, it does get any easier - they send you a pre-programmed box - you plug the power, internet cable & phone & you are ready to go!
This is the 1st time I write an "review" on the web - but this is so much better than a telco in terms of CLIENT SERVICE, QUALITY OF SERVICE & FEATURES, & PRICE!!! I wanted others to know.
Cheers!
Francois

I've used Voip Your Life since November 06. Any time I've had a simple question and called them, I've never been placed on hold and have always received a helpful response.
We recently relocated from the South to the Midwest. One 2-minute call to their customer service and they had me switched to a new local phone number, no charge.
Friendly and great service! Keep it up!

I was a Lingo customer for over a year. It was the worst service I have ever received from any online service provider in my life. I wanted to switch but no one could port my number. I found this site and read the reviews of VoipYourLife and I figured it was either a hoax or the best service ever. I called and asked if they could port my number. They looked into it and sure enough they said they could. I was hooked. I switched and could not be happier. I have had them for over a year and I have not been down once. As an added bonus, I discovered the internet speed doubled when i removed the Lingo box and the Voipyourlife box doesn't even require 1/5 of the bandwidth as Lingo was sucking up and they call quality is 100 times better. Since them i have signed up for the comcast tripple play and have their voip service that i have chosen to ignore. I would rather pay $25 a month for what i consider to be the best customer service. I can't say enough nice things about these people.

I am a relatively new customer to VOIPYourLife (VYL). I had AT&T's callvantage (CV) for a long-time, before they discontinued service to my area because of the 911 issues.
There are some things that I like about VYL. First is the music in the background when you put someone on hold. The classical music has been appreciated by more than one of my callers that I've had to put on hold. I also like that they give you the duration of each call, something that CV did not do.
Right now the big issue is that there is some major technical problem and whenever someone calls me the number that is showing up in the caller ID is my own telephone number. This has been going on for at least 10 days (today is 6 July 2007). It's especially annoying because I feel I have to take each and every call that comes in since I have no idea who is calling.
My second issue is with their find me/follow me service. CV service would ring to all the numbers I put in and if I didn't answer then the voicemail went to my home number's voicemail box. Right now I have my service with VYL set up to first ring on my house phone, then on my cell phone. It will ring only 4 times on my house phone, which often is not long enough for me to get it, before it rolls over to my cell phone. If I don't pick up on my cell phone, VYL does NOT transfer back to my house phone. Rather the voicemail of my cellphone will pick up. I'm not pleased with this because I don't want to use up all my cell minutes getting voicemails from my house phone, but I have no choice. Really, the way this system is set up there are NEVER any voicemails on my VYL phone.
Anyway, I am moving soon and VYL doesn't have service at my new location, so I'll be ending my phone service with them in about a month to six weeks. I'm ready to try some other service.

It was with hesitation that I explored the world of VOIP - a service I need for my telecommute job. I made the mistake of going with Sun Rocket initially. Terrible customer service and misrepresentation by sales person. I disconnected that service during the initial 30 days and opted to go with VOIP Your Life because of the good reviews on this site. Have been using their service for the past couple of weeks and recommend them wholeheartedly. The sales team was excellent in accommodating my need for overnight delivery of the modem. Tech support was relentless in getting my service up and running while working through the kinks of connecting to my employer's network remotely. Five stars for VOIP Your Life.

I was with VoIP Your Life for almost a year and decided to try some of the lower cost providers. What a mistake! I tried two other companies and never got the same reliability or service I came to expect from VoIP Your Life. I won't be making that mistake again anytime soon!

I've been a VoipYourLife customer for 3 months now. Biggest problem is that Caller ID is not working at ALL! I wasn't sure if it was my configuration, my phone, hardware or what so I bought a new phone, tested every configuration and finally called VYL tech support today.
Turns out Caller ID has been inoperative on their system for the past three weeks and they still don't know how to fix it.
The porting was slow, but I could live with it, the equipment delivery was speedy, the setup was fairly simply, the custumer service was adequate but with no caller ID I'm going to have to switch providers if they can't fix their own system VERY SOON!

Hi, I rarely take the time to do anything like this, however, I thought I should share great feedback about this company.
We have had Vonage twice and then went back to qwest landline service for years. We make a lot of international calls, their prices are fantastic-29.99 for all the calls you can make period, local and international! They are a little lacking on features compared to some companies, but they have great customer service right here in the US and they normally answer on the first few rings. I challenge you to try that with Vonage!
We had a few glitches upon connecting that were worked out with a tech's adjustments.
We have been with them for 5 months and are very pleased with the service. I am hoping to be a long time customer with voipyourlife!
Sincerely,
Lisa
