Horrible - Dishonest - Useless Customer Service - Lie about contracts They lie right off the bat when they call you. At least the guy who calls to hook you speaks your language. After that it's accents you can't translate from call centers with a million other voices in the background. I agreed to their services in 2018 with free first month and 6th month. That was a lie. Never happened! Tried the customer service on that. Of course they say they don't know anything about that. Customer service person I can't understand. Ask if there is someone who can speak better English and am told "NO" Can't email me. Doesn't care. Over the years, they have added about $25 to my bill. Bogus taxes - unexplained "Other Charges" Got a letter a few months ago with a bill. The bill was for my gradually ever-increasing bill amount, the letter says I'm being charged another $20+ for some other taxes they had failed to include on my bill for the last year. Paid that. Couldn't bring myself to suffer through a useless episode with overseas customer service agent. Finally sick of them, switched the line over to a cell with Verizon. Lingo continuing to bill me for a service they have not been providing for two months. Paid it once. The second time I call Customer service. Hung up on. Call again 15 minutes on hold - another guy I can't understand. What I am able to get from him: Verizon didn't notify them (A lie, Verizon can't use the number until Lingo releases it - I waited several days for that to happen) I am suppose to still owe the bills + more to come which will include a $200 Early termination charge!!! Say I am under some other contract that they can't provide me with. Just simply a lying scamming company . By the way, they were called Birch Communications when I signed up. They changed to Lingo somewhere along the line. Not BBB accredited - No shock there I'll update this when I get my next statement.
I signed up for my elderly mom, who cannot use a cell phone. We had been happy with the service, and the price was better than AT&T, plus included 1500 minutes of long distance, which AT&T does not unless you pay a lot extra. Recently my mom's phone was out of order, and we had to wait a week to get it back working. (It was a line/cable problem.) In addition to a terribly long wait, customer service was absolutely horrible! Excessive wait times, incorrect trouble tickets, ZERO customer service on weekends. Today I am calling them about a billing question, and so far have been on hold for 1 hour and 45 minutes SO FAR. I don't want to call back and start all over, so I've got the phone on speaker and on the charger.
The entire DLS team were great. We brought two offices and a number of telecommuters under one phone system for the first time with DLS. We were gun shy after a dismal experience with one office?s deployment of a VOIP from one of the phone giants. After a lot of time, money and worst of all downtime all we had was an expensive sophisticated system from which we could only make calls and get voicemails. At least, we usually could do those things. Enter DLS. They stayed on top of our concerns from day one, helped us with the fiascos created by the losing carriers, and made sure things just plain worked. No pie in the sky bologna. They delivered on every aspect that was under their control and many that weren?t. The negligible down time we experienced was due to the other carrier dropping the lines one week early, but DLS responded immediately. They helped us develop a reasonable and cost effective set up that has drastically improved our connectivity and lead to a more unified identity. The features in general are great. My favorite is the online panel that allows us to see whether employees in other locations are available before transferring a call. The ability to offer another staff member?s help immediately instead of adding to the pile of voicemails that need to be returned is a big timesaver.
I have used DLS as a provider for both my consumer and business Internet and VoIP services for over 8 years. The combination of a localized support staff, great pricing models and very impressive technical skills has led me to recommend them to all of my friends/colleagues that have been in the market for their type of services. Much better to deal with than the giant providers.
