Customer service acted as though they could care less about the fact that they were taking 3 days pay from me. I spoke to two different reps with the same attitude. Why on earth would anyone want to stay with this company ... Be VERY careful ... vonage does the same thing
I have been a customer for a year now. The digital phone adapter I got was defective - having a normal phone conversation impossible. It took tech support awhile to figure out that their digital adapter was the problem. They were very helpful I must say and offer to replace the equipment. I have to use my cell phone to complete my calls because my caller constantly experiencing problems hearing me. It was annoyingly coming in and out. It was very frustrating having to repeat yourself all the times. What could be a 5 minutes conversation ending up being a 30 minutes call because of constantly repeating yourself. This was right from the start. I thought the issue would go away but it did not. All this was mentioned in my notes with tech support that I have been having the issue for the whole year. I barely use the service. The new adapter seems to be okay so far. I asked tech support if there is anything they can do like a courtesy credit for their faulty service. He advised me to speak to customer service. The lady bluntly told me that the fact that I had service - faulty or not they will be no credit. She also said tech support is aware of the issue ( from their note on the system) let them give me a credit. Their definition of service is once the phone make a connection that service. It does not matter if their adapter is faulty and the quality is so bad that you have to you your cell phone instead. Two thumbs down ACN!
My business partner wanted to go with this service. I have my reservations, yet since my partner was excited we gave it ago. I was trying to change our credit card for billing. It took five calls to get an actual human. She was nice. She tried to help. Loading in three different credit cards because the system kept telling her our address was wrong. It wasn't until on the third credit card that was to a completely different business, address, and bank that she realized that it was not the cards but the system. At the same time, I get an email that they charged the first card which as the one they said we needed to change. I really feel for those who work there, what a damn nightmare to work in such an inefficient place.
The product worked ok, but we eventually had to switch because when we needed help it was a nightmare. Must of customer service can read their scripts in English but they can't really work in it. My account manager put me on a better plan that would save me money - it cost more. Security protocols are absurd and sometimes different departments had different answers to the same security question. We had three fax lines and they were unable to recognize it was all one account. And the real nightmare started when we tried to port our numbers to a new provider. They kept refusing the port and refusing to connect us with someone who would help. Meanwhile they disconnected one fax line and changed the email delivery of incoming faxes and confirmations to me. This is a small business, I am finance, HR and IT. I already get a load of emails every day and now I spend half my time distributing other people's faxes. With experience I have become very good at being forceful enough to get almost any disinterested or in competent customer service rep to help me, but with RingCentral it was a waste of effort. Brick Wall level incompetence on the other side. Run, do not walk, away from RingCentral.
