RecommendedI am using ITP almost 2 months and very happy with the service. My number ported over in about 7 days. Phone works very well. I like the fact I can manage my phone features from the web. My favorite feature is simultaneous ring. I can have my home phone ring the same time as my cell phone. Highly recommended

I’ve been using the hosted PBX from ITP for my business for about 3 years and it works great. It’s a truly worry free system. About 4 months ago I decided to use ITP for my home. The voice quality is just as great as in my office. One of the things that really stuck out was their customer service. Before I purchased any of the products or services, I called the customer service team who were extremely courteous and patient. They explained the products in detail and were able to answer all my questions without feeling pressured. Thank you ITP!

ITPI do not recommend the service is you are looking for a service with quality.

Pros The quality of the sound is very poor The trial period is a not 1 .. they charged my $43 saying is the activation fee and the shipping fee. I used the phone for 1 week, I just called and they told me they will not return the money I spent ($43) Another problem is had is that after reaching a number, I couldn't dial a large extension number ... o a credit card .. the system lost most of the numbers in the way.

Cons Price to call the 30 countries that are supposed to be included (none of them had answered my emails asking for the countries included in the promo)

OK, but there's better out thereI've been using ITP for a couple of months now, it works OK, but I'm switching due to couple of reasons: 1) The web-site is poor. It looks like it was designed by a three year old, with formating errors, and screens which you cannot figure out how to get back to. Also, the call log doesn't contain all the info you would like, such as the cost of a particular call. 2) The service uses a high compression low quality audio codec (G729), and there is no way to change it (unlike other services out there). On some calls I could definitely hear that voices sounded overly digitized. And, forget using a Fax machine since faxes cannot work on the G729 codec (need to use G711 for faxing). 3) Dropped calls. While using this service I experienced dropped calls, usually on longer conference calls to 800 numbers when I was working from home. This is not good if you are talking to your boss, or have an important customer on the line. 4) Hidden charges. They include many hidden service fees which are not apparent when you sign up. Other services (such as Callcentric and Future-nine) do not have the hidden surcharges.

Pros Reasonable rates. Customer care is responsive.

Cons Low sound quality (cannot change from G729 codec), Poor web-site, hidden fees.

Finally a voip company that works. I must have gone through 4 different voip companies over the last 3 years. Each of them had 1 problem or another. They either lost my port information to my calls dropping. I've been using ITP for 6 months and I have yet to call customer service. I got my adapter from ITP in 4 days, plugged it in and started making calls. Thats the way its supposed to work. Good job, ITP!!

My ITP phone adapter arrived today. I plugged it in and less than 5 minutes later I made my first call. Call quality is good, but not as good as the phone line I am replacing. I will work on that and see if there are any interference problems. I called customer service to inquire about my account and a real person answered after 3 rings - very courteous and helpful. I'm waiting for my old phone number to be ported over; I received an email stating that the porting process was in the works. When I go to my account on the ITP website, it shows the status of my old line ("port in process"), which is nice. The online call log lists all incoming and outgoing calls less than 1 minute after they end. So far, I am very impressed.

Pros Very inexpensive, no long-term contract. Very easy to set up. Impressive customer service.

Cons Web site is kind of bare-bones, particularly in the FAQ area. Hookup instructions were really skimpy. For example, I spent 10-15 minutes trying to figure out how to plug the power brick into the wall! It turns out that there is a little plug adapter piece that is hidden in the packaging. This does not show on the directions, in fact, it doesn't even show the presence of a power brick at all.

A solid voip companyWe have a home office and have relied on voip technology for our phone service for about 2 years. We are a very happy customer of ITP. We tried other companies in the past, but they just couldn’t get the service working right. The voice quality and rel ia bility is strong. Customer service is accommodating whenever we have a question. Their pricing is very reasonable. Last month I added an efax to my account. (I finally threw out my bulky fax machine). I now send and receive my faxes v ia email. Overall, very satisfied.

I’ve been reading the reviews for the last 3 months trying to figure out which of the Voip companies to go with. I used to use Vonage but I gave them up about a year ago, as they did not meet my needs; like call quality and price. Two weeks ago I signed up with ITP. I got my adapter 3 days later. So far, the calls are clear and sharp. The price is $9.99 plus a little tax. I’m not sure if this works for everybody, but it works for me.

All I can is Thank you! Thank you ! Thank you ! I’ve been trying to find ways to lower my bills, when my grandson suggested I switch my phone service to voip. He was using ITP and said I should try them as well. I was a bit apprehensive, but I was pleasantly surprised. My phone bill had dropped almost 60% and my calls are perfect. When I received the fancy looking box from ITP, I plugged it in (even an old man can do it). I’m very satisfied with the product. I give them an A+.

Porting After signing up, I faxed over the number porting authorization form to move my current FairPoint number over. About a month later I emailed to get status; ITP told me they never received the form. OK, my bad. I faxed it again. This time I called back to make sure they had received it. Yes, said the service rep on the phone, they had it. Great. A month goes by; I email again to get status... again, I'm told the form was not received. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I'm not happy about this at all. It's been 3+ months now since I've signed up, and I'm paying ITP AND FairPoint the entire time. If this isn't resolved ASAP, I'm going to find another VOIP provider.

I am a former sunrocket customer. I was with them for almost 2 years. I have been with Teleblend since July 07. There were initial problems during their start up for a couple of weeks. some sporadic outages. Since late august, no real problems. for the price - you cant beat this. I havent used cust service so cannot comment on that. Personal opinion,if you need top notch customer service, you will pay for it.

Pros Always works. No real problems. Price is good.

Cons None really. initial problems seemed to have been cleared up. Phone service for less than $20 month. you cant beat it

Teleblend is now famed for its poor customer service. They twice closed my help desk request without resolving my incoming call problems. I had an excellent service with Sunrocket until I switched to Teleblend. Now, with no change of any equipment on my end, about 80% of my incoming calls do not connect when I press the talk button on my phone. I have given them ample time to resolve the issue and now am going to switch provider.

Pros There are none. Its simply a worse service than I had with Sunrocket.

Cons Paid for two way calling, I get outgoing calls only.

In August 2007 my SunRocket number went easily to Teleblend, and yet I wondered about this company. Now in February 2008, I'm glad I have this provider. My phone service has good call quality, clear, instant ringing, good voice mail, and correctly can dial into accounts requiring passwords etc.
Once had to call customer service with a billing question and got thru in 8 minutes. Next day they called me back to see if everything was ok. I believe this company will continue to grow, but their phone/customer service are great. Better than Voip.com a company not doing well, many problems.

Pros Clear Calls good vmail, caller ID w/name, online acct manager ok for basics but needs further development.

Cons none really!

Except for the goofy website, everything works fine with Teleblend. I can even send and receive faxes. They do need a lot of work on their website, but the features do work. For $12.95 a month you can't beat it.

Pros Low cost, clear connections and it works with a fax machine.

It's been ONE week since Teleblend reported that they were experiencing difficulites with a carrier in the 718 area code.
On 2/4/08 at 11:15 AM, this message was posted on their website under the Network heading "One of our underlying carriers is experiencing problems that could be affecting your inbound calling capabilities on your TeleBlend phone service. We hope to have this resolved in the next few hours."
On Tuesday, 2/5 I sent them a support complaint saying "the problem has not been resolved. I use my voip line for business and my employer and customers cannot contact me by phone. We also have an ailing father and cannot receive calls regarding his condition."
Today, Wednesday, 2/6/08, the outgoind message on their Customer Service telephone states "Currently experiencing 'fast busy' issues in the NY area but don't have estimated time when it will be resolved."
I will cancel my account with them and port my telephone number to another VoIP company.

I'm a former Vonage & Sunrocket customer. Switched to ViaTalk last month. I have 2 Lines. When TB took over, service still worked. Only lost service for a couple of days. Pretty good call quality. Horrible and/or non existent customer service.
Had billing issues since August 2007 on one line that they never corrected even though they "Closed" my trouble tickets every time saying it was fixed.
Almost every incoming cell phone call automatically dropped after about 30 secs. That was a pain in the #&%@ to deal with!
Could never send or receive faxes. I understand that's a touchy issue with some VOIP's. But, I could send/receive with Vonage. And, I can send/receive with ViaTalk.
Web site(s)are down right horrible. One would figure by now they could integrate the two. Gives one the feeling that TeleBlend is merely a temporary service.
After 6-7 months I couldn't stand it any longer. Even though the price was great $16.12 per month. I wasn't worth the headaches.
I switched to ViaTalk and the service is much, much, much, better. We'll see after 6 months how it goes.

Pros Pretty Good Price for Unlimited Calling for Sunrocket Customers.

Cons Dropped calls 60% of the time. Non existent Customer Service. Billing Issues.

I contracted for 15 months of service with SunRocket. The day I received and installed my equipment and made my first VoIP call SunRocket closed its doors. The good news is SunRocket was so screwed up it never charged my credit card, and my SunRocket service continued to work for several weeks. Eventually, I switched painlessly to TeleBlend, and my service continues to work well, having had only a few minor and short-term glitches. Twice my callers have heard echos of their own voices. On another occasion, entering security data such as Social Security and credit-card numbers wouldn't work. So far as I know, everything is working fine now.
The really bad news is customer service until very recently has been HORRIBLE! Also, their website is actually a kluge of the old SunRocket website and TeleBlend's web site. Many function don't work or are seldom or ever updated. A few weeks ago, TeleBlend hired some additional people, and I have had my phone calls answered and my issues dealt with promptly. However, TeleBlend still needs vast improments in their customer service and website.
A friend who also switched from SunRocket to TeleBlend has had excellent service since the switch and has never had to call customer service. So, he thinks TeleBlend is fantastic whereas I think its only OK overall. Judging from the posts I've read on this forum, many people have had many problems with TeleBlend. Go figure!

service switched over from sunrocket, has been working fine with a small exception, my 2nd number still doesnt work as of today, 1/21/2008. sent trouble ticket, took over a week to respond, with no helpful message in the response, called and was told it takes up to 30 days for numbers to be working, it had already been months, supposedly should be working within 2 more weeks, but that was over a month ago.

Pros service has been working fine

Customer Service was very patient with me when I wanted to change to VoIP I had a dozen questions about the technology and how to get set up. They were able to answer my questions in laymens terms and made it simple. I was hesitate to change but it was easy.
I like being able to talk as much as I want and not worry about my bill. I have been very pleased with the quality of the phone AND I love the name "TinCanTalk" :)

Fifty dollars less per month than comparable features from Bellsouth landline. Fast, personal American support is outstanding. VOIP performance equivalent to Vonage et al but the customer support sets this company apart.

I've been a faithful Vonage customer for nearly 2 years, but with no innovation and the rates increasing with taxes, it was time for a change. I found Callcentric through various reviews and completely concur with most people's opinions. The customer support, although email only has been incredibly fast and always helpful. The pricing tiers are fair, although can be confusing to anyone new.

This is not one of the best service plans out there in the market for VoIP. With this service you have to pay for unlimited outgoing calls(19.99/mon)and unlimited incoming calls with is an extra 19.99/mon. They also have other plans where you can just pay for however many mins you expect to use for the month. I figure this service is not good on your pockets if you are looking to save money for regular features which are in any modern day phone packages anyway. If you are looking for a limited package deal this would be a good plan, but most people are looking for unlimited. This company will have you paying big time for unlimited service. That is like $40.00/mon just for those two features. Not going with this service plan saves me a lot of money in the first place lol.

I've read reviews here and decided to settle on callcentric as it was bring your own equipment, relatively low cost rates and ratings were relatively good. I have been using the service for almost 6 months and i give it 5 stars across the board, didn't experience any problems other than a few with my equipment but that was the fault of my hardware not the callcentric. Service works relatively well with my Linksys SPA2102 with fax and regular phone hooked up to it though you need to play around with fax settings a bit to get at right settings.

Pros low prices, reliable, pay as you go

Cons none really though it would help if they would certify some wifi phones that are known to work

Not happy with service. Ok, I'm mostly unhappy with voipreview.org, but I guess it is my fault for not researching more about Callcentric. The price doesn't seem too bad, ... until you find out that you don't get a phone number with their "unlimited" plan. Yes, I *am* new to VOIP, but shouldn't that be noted somewhere on the voipreview.org phone service plan information web page?
Callcentric should certainly explicitly state this.
As for the sound quality, it is less than what I expected, but I am probably more demanding that most--yes I have a solid connection with plenty of upload and nothing else going on during sub-par voice quality calls.

Pros Unlimited outgoing calls on "unlimited" plan.

Cons No incoming calls on "unlimited" plan since there's no phone # included w/plan.

It has been just over an hour since I got my line. Took less than 5 minutes to setup. And the price is great ! Just $0!! Pay per use price - 2 cents a minute.

this is my 3rd voip provider in 4 years and far it has been the best!! Ive had Verizon;unreliable and costly, then I tried Sunrocket;out of business, and now with CallCentric i get EASY to use service, setup was a breeze, worked right out of the box! Continue to be impressed with voip.ms with its solid network and call quality
performance. The company makes every effort to gives its end users notice if
a given gateway needs to see downtime for maintenance.

Unlike many other SIP providers, voip.ms offers a per second billing,
breaking the traditional telco pricing model. Using per second billing and
flexible unlimited trunks, they offer a true flexibility to residential and
small commercial operations who can't predict their usage needs.

Voip.ms provides numerous guides on most common ATA and softphone systems to
connect into their network. Integration with existing voIP equipment is
easy and support when questions arise excellent.

we use it for 2 years now, always worked great except 1 time, where we
couldn't make call for a short period.
Setting up the ATA is always tricky, way too many settings are present.

VoIP.ms is a wonderful VoIP company which I have used for many years. Though
I am a very light user, they have always provided excellent support and
service.

I am constantly recommending them to customers as an alternative to large
telcos for the above reasons.

I highly recommend them for any VoIP services that one may need.

I just wanted a service to which I could port my US cell phone number while I
was outside the US. Thus, I was not looking for a full-service phone
provider, just someone who was willing to hold onto my number until I am back
on American soil. For that purpose, voIP.ms has been perfect: they allowed me
to keep my number for less than $1/mo.

As I interact with the website, I can tell that there is a LOT more I could
do with the service, I just don't have the need for a more complex service,
nor the time to explore and figure it out. In that way, I actually appreciate
that the service is scalable according to the needs of the user.

A little frustrating to me is that it seems like I might be missing texts and
calls, but every time I've had someone test it, everything seems to work
fine.

Pros Able to scale service according to size and needs of the user.

Cons Super complicated interface that is not intuitive for anyone who is not a communications engineer.

I was pleasantly surprised when I switched to VoIP.ms for my home “land
line” the service has been great, tons of features, and tech support was
very helpful while setting up my account on my grand view adapter.

I definitely have been recommending it to friends and neighbours.

Pros Pay as you go allows me to keep my costs super low, and yet it feels like a much higher priced service.

Cons VoIP.ms doesn’t provide you with an option to get hardware through them, making it more difficult for less tech savvy people to be able to take advantage of the freedom that VoIP.ms provides.

I cancelled my home phone service and adopted VoIP.ms. I have saved more
money in several months compared to the years of service with Bell Canada.
Excellent cost for a service that has zero problems. Easy to reload money
with my credit card. Never had a problem with the connection. The problems I
persisted to have at the beginning seems to be from the garbage modem/routers
from my ISP. Ever since I changed my modem/router and connected my machine to
my phone line and modem/router... the connection has been smooth and I don't
have to do anything to it.

Customer service is extremely helpful and professional. They know what they
are talking about and are experts. Never had a single problem dealing with a
representative.

I'm a CCIE Collaboration. This service is perfect for use within my home
lab. I register a Cisco 2911 gateway using SIP-UA, and am then able to do
full e164 dialing back and forth. I've used to call all over the world. And
I have incoming business calls come in through it. I'm very pleased with the
service.

Great service. Set up in minutes and haven't had a problem since. Talked to sales through email and they were very responsive. I've already referred two friends and hope to get a few more on.

I probably asked them about a million questions and they answered all of them without pressuring me. I probably sent about 15 emails with new questions as I came up with them...probably driving them crazy. Their technical support guys were just as helpful. Service is probably the most important thing to me, and they went above and beyond for me.

I signed up with HyperDog Digital on the suggestion of a friend. It was a little difficult to get in touch with someone from sales, but they answered email very fast and answered all my questions. I tried a call in to support and got through right away. I've been through a few different VOIPs and most don't even respond to you.
Other than that the adapter worked great and setup very fast. Call quality is good and I haven't had any drops.

Pros great customer service

Cons had a hard time getting through to sales initially

I actually bought this for my son who was heading out for school across country. He's been using it for a couple weeks now and it's great! Sounds really good and he said it was really easy to setup and get going. We have a big family here and it's good to still be able to talk to him on a local number without racking up the phone bill. We were so pleased we signed up for it ourselves and now use it out of our home as well.

After SunRocket I got passed off to Teleband and that was a joke. I've been with HyperDog since then and I am glad I found them. Great service, great sound quality, and the prices aren't bad either!

I have been cut off by SunRocket, Hosed by ViaTalk and Voip.com.
Finally found a company that answers their phone, works to give you support and service, calls you back to make sure they get it right

Pros So far everything and I got service and a person OUTSTANDING

I've been with these guys for awhile now and have been trying to get friends and coworkers to sign up as well. Each person that I was able to sign up actually gets me money back. I didn't think it would actually work but i got enough people signed up that it's basically paying for my monthly bill now! Can't beat that!

I'm not technical by any means but a friend of mine recently bought into VOIP Phone service and is very happy. After doing some research myself I decided to go with HyperDog Digital. I sent over a load of questions through and they answered them all very quickly. I'm really surprised at the quality of broadband phone is...it sounds just like my regular land line. I was hesitant at first but I am glad I made the switch. I'm not sure if all VOIPs are as good as HyperDog Digital but I am very happey with them!

I signed up for HyperDog about a month ago and couldn't be happier. I wanted to wait a good month before deciding how I liked it. Service and quality have been great and I think this is a great VOIP for anyone looking to go broadband for their phone service!
