Nextiva Reviews

Nextiva has changed business phone service for good; Nextiva's phone service combines high-quality service with incredible technical support — and you can keep your arms and your legs. One of the best in the business today, Nextiva delivers powerful communications capability with simplicity and ease of use.

Nextiva has two basic phone plans: Connect and Nextiva Office. Both have multiple scalable options: as you increase your calling capabilites (for instance, expanding from 1,000 minutes a month to unlimited minutes) your monthly flat rate increases. But that’s it: there aren’t setup fees or contracts (that is, unless you want one; like most other VoIP providers, Nextiva offers a discount to encourage you to sign a contract).

No matter what plan you choose, Nextiva will load your plan with useful features. Even Connect 100 (100 minutes for $8.95 a month) offers 10 virtual extensions, along with cell phone integration, follow me features, advanced voicemail features and more. Plus, Nextiva offers a wide variety of helpful customer support options — including US-based support.

Nextiva also offers efax and SIP trunking service.

I first got started using Nextiva with their limited connect plan and it was a good fit at the time. I am a Realtor and was just starting when I signed up so I got one number from them and had all my incoming calls for the business ring the Nextiva line then forward off to my cell phone and office line. As time went on instead of using Qwest for the main phone line, I kept the number I had with Qwest and just switched the entire phone service from Qwest to Nextiva. The transition was easy and I tip my hat to their support staff. Instead of paying for the Nextiva plan and Qwest, I put everything together and Nextiva is all I use. I also did have them record the auto attendant greeting for me, which was free. For the type of business I have where I'm in the office half the day and the rest of the day I'm all over the city, it's been the ideal solution.

Lots of great features. A comment on if your phone goes down after hours - there are features under the log in to make it roll to a second number - or to always ring multiple phones. Speed dial features - listen to your voicemail on line - Email your voice mail messages. The list goes on and on. Call records - who called you from where - from what number and when The people that do not like the service do not understand all the capabilities. When you initially set up the Office manager - you have to create an employee - and many of the better functions then need to be set up as the employee - this is the only confusing part

Price and the features were what sold me. Being our first real phone system we didn't need an Avaya, because of the price and also because we aren't ready. We took a quick look at Vonage as being our first plan but when we saw that for the same price we can get a hosted pbx service, the idea of going with them was killed. Most businesses we work with and meet have some sort of pbx functionality they utilize and I do see why its better than using just a basic line with voicemail. The professionalism portrayed is one thing but having calls ring multiple phones at the same time is a dream come 1 for me.
Be prepared for a mini learning curve if you are not tech savvy. But I can say that Nextiva has done an outstanding job in both getting us started and supporting us along the way. We have 9 phones with them right now and project to be at 30 by years end. The calls sound no different compared to a regular analog connection. I've referred a few friends to them, they seem to be doing well too.

I received a letter from AT&T mentioning that the service was going to end in a few months and felt lost. Not necessarily lost but surely I wasn't pleased or overjoyed about switching services. I was going to use magicjack as an alternative but decided to steer away from them because of some poor experiences I read about. I switched to Nextiva and signed up with the inTALK plan and it's been very good. The price and features are better than what I was getting with CallVantage, and the adapter's setup was not a overwhelming. In fact I would say the transition to them was a simple one. My number was ported to them without a mess. It may have been best for me that CallVantage ended.

Since establishing the concept that developing an iPhone app was the way to go, we needed a phone system because using our cell phones all day wasn't going to cut it. We have experience with startups, but this was our first iPhone app and the main thing we looked for when shopping for a phone provider was reliability. The last thing we want to occur is to be on the phone with Apple discussing our app then all of a sudden our phone drops. Even though our cell phones give us unlimited minutes, it's not professional for business. The entire iNetMania project was completed in less than 60 days and took tons of works and money. I cannot explain how important reliability is for us. I personally used VoIP with sunrocket, magicjack, and lingo so I've seen the good and bad sides of VoIP. It was a guaranteed thing that I'd be using VoIP for iNetMania, the main question was who. I think VoIP is what every person in the world should be using, as long as they have high-speed Internet. So when doing research on some companies, we landed on five companies that seemed like good fits. I can't speak on any of them because Nextiva is the one we went with. What stood out and eventually led to our decision to go with them was the knowledge the sales rep had. I'm not the biggest fan of sales guys that try to hustle with me, rather it's all about professionalism and knowledge....Nextiva displayed that. Since our app went live and a few weeks before the launch date, we were using the phones nonstop. I continue to use it without any drops and have been fortunate enough to have a strong cable connection coming through at all times. Having the ability for our calls to ring our cells when its late in the evening or out of the office is also a cool thing. The whole setup and getting started was a piece of cake. Nothing was too intricate or over our head, good support and well designed interface. We got some good numbers that were easy to remember. I shouldn't take nextiva for granted, since I just read that ooma had an outage for six hours on monday. Getting our 2 lines running for 60 bucks a month is a heck of a deal. We are so happy with Nextiva that we did not charge them for an advertising spot in our game, we wanted to spread the word about them thru the iNetMania game. They've been helpful and great to work with. With price always an issue these days but reliability being the most critical thing, nextiva has been the right choice. - www.inetmania.com

Tons of pros. I'd start by saying the quality of each call has been clear and I've not experienced a bad call. The customer support has been my favorite. Calling in, the people have been nice and they actually know what they're supporting. Price has been a bonus but not the reason we decided to go with them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, MY PHONES NEVER WORKED AND THEY DON'T CARE.  I have had the worst experience with this company.  I ported my phone number.  They never told me I need to contact my DSL company so I lost all internet service for 2 weeks. No phones no interenet.  Once I got my internet the phones wouldn't work and they were the wrong phones.  It is very difficult to get a holf of someone. They make you leave mesaages and no one ever returns them. Once I finally got the right phones they never worked.  I have spents hours and hours and hours on the phone with them, mostly waiting to talk to someone.  They never could fix the problem and they didn't care that my phones don't work.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  I DOUBT THE PEOPLE WRITING THESE NICE REVIEWS ARE REAL.

The service has been better than what I first expected. The price being affordable was probably what attracted me to them the most, but I've been blown away by their kindness and service overall. When I encounter people that need phone service, I immediately tell them about nextiva.
Having little knowledge of phones and the way they operate, I had my friend work on finding a phone system for me. Saving time and not having to look for a vendor helped, but my friend Henry has been working with computers for years and knows what to do. I've totally been telling people to go with Nextiva. Making calls from my internet connection is a crazy thought, but it works and I have had no issues. How it works and stuff is too much to comprehend, although with my friend's help and calling Nextiva for help, I was able to ge things started quickly.

What has impressed me the most is the customer service. I once worked in a call center and know the challenges that companies can face, so I am understanding. But in many cases it seems like companies think that outsourcing to India or wherever -----Even the US or Canada is a good idea for the long run. Customer service is a crucial aspect of any service industry business. The service reps are the people that actually speak to the customers. So even if you have a great product, it really means nothing if you ain't got good customer service. I've lost patience with companies that outsource. On top of the good customer service, that knows what they are talking about and are willing to help. I have been most impressed with the phone call quality. We have a three desk phones and a conference phone and the setup was not a daunting task. They do much better than the local phone company would do in my eyes. Not just the fact the support is helpful, but they cost less and it's not a hassle to work with them.

Not a hassle to work with and the setup was easy.

We went to Nextiva based upon this site and we are going to be canceling them.  Their customer service is horrible and to get them to fix any problems is non existant.  Overall the service isn't bad, but not made for a growing company, only small business.

Phone service was ok
