absolutely terrible service and support! The company is run by a bunch of kids who don't know how to run a business, service their customers or how to even get a bill straight! This company is going under, new signups beware!
Been using the service since november. Haven't had any issues since my internet connection was repaired. I recently had the house wired for voip... I give these guys a high-five! nice price too.
We finally dumped Big Telecom after rates went up for sub-par internet service, and we couldn't justify the extra cost of maintaining a copper POTS line that was getting spam calls. Granted, there's something to be said for the generally solid reliability of a "proper" landline. Particularly after recent VoIP woes, including a persistent DDoS attack on Voip.ms. I hope their new security-improved setup will prove stable and dependable, and they'll have another stretch of years with few service interruptions. The big plus: A rich set of features including call-screening IVR, multiple sub-accounts, and custom call routing. All at a very reasonable cost at least for light to medium users. That, along with having a cell phone for backup, made it worth staying.
This is a great VoIP service with something for everyone from residential to big business. I've never had any issues and always found solutions to my problems. The only caveat is for mobile users the service falls short when it comes to SMS/MMS/RCS because the handsets are only setup to handle those through traditional mobile carrier connection - there's no way to dupicate those with the VoIP.ms service unless Android (Google) and iOS (Apple) step up and allow you in their messaging apps to use a SIP connection.
