I just hooked my phone service up. I had some issues with the dial tone. I called tech. support BAM they answered the phone within 3 rings.
I made tons of calls around the United States calling friends and family members. I had asked them about the quality of the call. They said it was perfect.
I used to have lingo. Their service was horrible.So, I switched back to Bellsouth because I needed the quality of service. What really hurt was the outrageous phone bills I was getting from Bell.
I decided to give VOIP another shot. This time I really researched all the major VOIP companies. I wasn't impressed with the reviews. I came accross this company VOIP Your Life. There reviews were just awesome. I even called a couple of users who actually use the service. Nothing but great things to say about the service, customer service, Tech support.
I went with my gut on this one. I ordered the service on Tuesday I received my Equipment on friday Feb. 16, 2007. It took me a total of 3 minutes to install the service. I've had the service for one day no problems. I will come back in a week for an update. Good or bad I will be writing another review. Enclosing, Vonage,Lingo should take notes on how to give great service. Also, Steve Yeager should get One month free for referring me.
So, if VOIP for Life executives are reading these reviews. You need to give Steve a Month's free of service. He sold me on the service with no regrets.

We have had experience with 2 voip providers-Voip.Com and VOIP Your Life. The difference in our experience is huge. Customer service and call quality both are tremendously better with VOIP Your Life. There is simply NO comparison. The customer service at VOIP Your Life was so prompt and courteous in every way. Calls were answered by real people on the first ring and emails were returned within the hour-every effort was extended to ensure that we were treated fairly and the service was running smoothly. Our earlier experience was an endless run around with no technical help offered other than that which was available online from the manufacturer of their hardware,Linksys. We are very happy customers of VOIP Your Life!

Vonage says they offer a 30-day free trial. That's only if you return the equipment in before 30 days. The problem is - it usually takes 30 to 60 days to port a number. Vonage waits until after 30 days to say they won't port your number and then it's too late. They hit me up for $125.00 cancellation fee for each of 5 lines. I paid $10,000.00 to market my phone numbers and Vonage tossed them out like yesterdays garbage and wants to charge me $125.00 cancellation fee for each of 5 lines in the process. After spending a total of 18 hours on various calls to Vonage trying to correct their blunders, I ended up going to VoIP Your Life. At least they speak English and they showed a 1 concern for my business. Also, VoIP Your Life successfully ported my original numbers that Vonage couldn't port. Plus, VoIP Your Life wouldn't charge a disconnect fee. Just like the Vonage commercial suggests – only stupid people stick with Vonage. Enjoy swimming with sharks and dating losers - Vonage-heads!

I was having an issue with QOS thru my Insight cable connection causing outgoing voice to be broken. After purchasing a Hawking Broadband Booster, my QOS went from 53% to 90+% most of the time. Two additional numbers on the same line at no cost is a great added feature to go along with all their other features. Only additional charge on your bill is $1.53 Federal USF. I highly recommend this service. Only drawback is not available every where yet.

This is the first VOIP service I have used and I'm very satisfied with the service and the price and I'm paying every month. I don't know why they don't advertise further than the internet and word of mouth comparing to the overrated and underachieving Vonage. When I subscribe to the service in October, I took advantage of the $0.99 first month offer with free activation, free hardware and free activation just to try it out. I was very satisfied with the service. The first month when the telephone adapter was defective, they gave me a free replacement with an envelope to return the defective adapter via UPS for free. VYL service is a bargain compared to other VOIP providers and tech support is reliable 24/7. Since I have VOIP service I look at a long distance call as a regular call. The cons of VYL is I can't dial 311 directly for non-emergency information. I have to dial an alternative number everytime. But other than that It's right on the money.

This is a followup to my post of 2/1/07. There was a mixup in the order and my equipment didn't get sent out until I called a week later. Customer service was very responsive and told me to call when it arrived and they would change my start of service date. (They shipped it overnight at their expense!). Hooked it up in less than 5 min. and had a dial tone with crystal clear reception. Look for another post after a month or so. So far I am thrilled at how well it works and the customer service. And to think, that I would have had Vonage if the phone adapter I had purchased actually worked (or if their "customer service/tech assistance" people could have made it work. No one at Vonage seemed to know what to do....my good luck!!

Just Set it up working 15 se3conds out of box and hooked up bam I have crystal clear phone.I just ditched sunrocket what a lousy sevice it was.Glad I made the switch

have had service for about a month and am quite happy. Easy to setup. Good customer service. Not the cheapest phone service around, but it's worth paying a few extra bucks a month. No contract, setup or connection fees. I purchased my own unlocked phone adapter which is also supported by other VOIP providers

No service issues at all. No dropped calls, and usually better than POTS voice quality. I've had no reason to contact VYL since signing up... I dumped a second wired line and a third party prepaid long distance package (40 hrs per month) when I realized how good the VOIP alternative was.
The overall savings over my previous plan amount to $1200 per year. Needles to say I'm a very happy camper.
Highly recommended... no contract, no charge for equipment. No brainer... If you want to try just one VOIP provider this is the one... Thats what I did and I'm here for good now.

Just signed up with provider..excellent response, the customer service person knew about routers, modems and even VPN (virtual private networks)and how to get the best connections. Will have to see how everything goes, but the Vonage person I spoke with before finding VOIP Your Life was totally clueless outside the script they were reading from and the reception on the Vonage call was horrendous. I will update this after I get my FREE equipment from UPS and get it setup.
