Was a Champion customer (they used Level 3 as their backbone) and life was good -- excellent actually. Nexboom took over, no more faxing, no more distinctive ring feature, no more good customer service, people complain to me that when they are ringing me the tone is disruptive, I have plenty of dropped calls now, level 1 tech support is awful, then sit in the que for level two tech support. From what I can disect, Nexboom has Nuvio provide their VoIP service, who contracts out to various backbone providers depending on circumstance. In summary I've put up with it long enough and am switching to Packet 8 as they use Level 3, Inc. for their backbone (like Champion did.)
I had service for years with Champion, no problems. Since the Nexboom switch, service quality is horrible, no fax either, and when I canceled service, they continued to charge me for months and finally, when they stopped, charged me a $19.99 disconnect fee after years of service. Please think hard before using nexboom.
The entire DLS team were great. We brought two offices and a number of telecommuters under one phone system for the first time with DLS. We were gun shy after a dismal experience with one office?s deployment of a VOIP from one of the phone giants. After a lot of time, money and worst of all downtime all we had was an expensive sophisticated system from which we could only make calls and get voicemails. At least, we usually could do those things. Enter DLS. They stayed on top of our concerns from day one, helped us with the fiascos created by the losing carriers, and made sure things just plain worked. No pie in the sky bologna. They delivered on every aspect that was under their control and many that weren?t. The negligible down time we experienced was due to the other carrier dropping the lines one week early, but DLS responded immediately. They helped us develop a reasonable and cost effective set up that has drastically improved our connectivity and lead to a more unified identity. The features in general are great. My favorite is the online panel that allows us to see whether employees in other locations are available before transferring a call. The ability to offer another staff member?s help immediately instead of adding to the pile of voicemails that need to be returned is a big timesaver.
I have used DLS as a provider for both my consumer and business Internet and VoIP services for over 8 years. The combination of a localized support staff, great pricing models and very impressive technical skills has led me to recommend them to all of my friends/colleagues that have been in the market for their type of services. Much better to deal with than the giant providers.
