I signed up for a TV streaming box from iTalkBB a few months ago, which was fine at first. But they recently contacted me out of nowhere and told me that I was responsible for a phone number sending out illegal spam messages! They told me I signed up for a phone number through them (I never did that). They told me I had provided a picture of my passport to them to verify my identity when signing up (I DEFINITELY never did that). Then they told me that the signup was from an IP address in China two weeks ago, when I haven't left the United States. So it obviously wasn't me, but they still were trying to tell me that I would be in trouble! They wanted to get my real phone number canceled, they wanted to involve the Shanghai police department... Just an absolute nightmare being put on me, when it was actually their own problem with allowing a fraudster to sign up. The whole call was very suspicious, like they were trying to scam me or get something out of me, although I can't quite figure out how. iTalkBB needs to get their security under control and not try to dump their own problems on their legitimate customers. If this is any indication, at some point their entire block of phone numbers might get blacklisted for allowing too much spam, which would not be fun if you were trying to use one for your own phone! You will probably want to stay away unless you like dealing with incompetence and bad security.

The staff member is extremely helpful. They provide friendly and informative service and resolve my problem with patient. The TV service is really valuable. I can see my favorite TV show there. Highly Recommended~! I will definitely visit the store again if I have any other questions!

In my search for a new phone provider, I stumbled across Yiptel which is the hosted (cloud) PBX / VOIP brand by CCI. My first gripe was the fact that I had to talk to a sales team member before I started a trial. Being a small business ourselves I could appreciate that, but I do prefer the fully automated trials at some of the big players where I don't have to talk to sales until I am convinced the product is right for me. I used the free trial and was glad they offered it. The service is not reliable. I had several missed calls during my testing where callers called in, but the phones never rang. The first time this happens, I always question my network on this end (are the right ports open on the firewall for example?) However after verifying all network settings with customer support, the missed calls continued. I don't know the specifics of where Yiptel runs their service, but if you look at the locations on their website (Mesa, Denver, Bozeman, etc.) and Google the street addresses, you will see they are residential buildings! Again I can appreciate these guys are not as big as Vonage and RingCentral (that's not a bad thing, smaller businesses often mean better support!), but I wonder if they are running their backend out of residences with consumer grade WAN links? It would certainly explain the missed calls. I would not recommend this service... while email is quickly becoming our dominant communication mechanism, we cannot be missing inbound calls from customers!
