The ability to use the phone when the computer is not running is important. The ability to use the router to have extensions in every room is useful. The low cost is the primary attraction | The reception is sometimes good, but most often it is lousy because I hear clicks and broken sentences, whereas on the other end there are beeps like the pressing of buttons on the keypad. Sentences often have to be repeated because of the beeps. | Performance worsened after Magic Jack was redesigned to operate without the PC running. I rely upon a cell phone and keep Magic Jack as a house phone only because of the low cost. Quality has become so poor that I may abandon it. |
