Can't cancel the service.
Overall it was not too bad.
Overall it was not too bad.
I signed up for this service because of the good reviews from voip review. I have a business with 8 phones. I was told that if i had a fast connection then i wouldn't have any problems. I invested $5000 in a new network when we moved offices and we have a 5MBps dedicated connection. It took a few weeks for our phone number to be ported. Customer service was friendly but never fixed problems even though we had many support tickets and they were escalated to top level support. The phones that they recommended were the GXP 2000's and they are of cheap quality. We often have echo's and occasionally get disconnected. We have to reset our phones frequently to avoid problems. The main complaint i have is the quality and reliability of calls. The quality of my cell phone calls is much better than my voip ones. I just tell people to call my cell to avoid being disconnected. Overall we saved money on the service but more than payed for it on our network and time lost. Use a reliable provider or standard service
I got the service and set it up just by plugging in the AT to the router.
The service has worked great.
I was impressed by the speed at which my order was processed.
Tech support was great. They are fast, accurate and very helpful.
They had my phones set up quickly and then set up the voice mail.
I have a small office of 20 sales people. We are on the phone all the time. We switched to Velocitytel just hoping to save a lot of money, but we achieved so much more! The PBX they have is awesome! It had morefeatures and flexibility then any of the others I spoke to and it cost less!
We did have some intial problems with dropped calls so we called their tech support. The guy I spoke to was VERY knowledgable and we discovered that our Internet connection was being maxed out. He then changed us to some high compression format so that we use less of the connection. Now we can have more then 40 calls going with no problem! The quality of the calls did seem to go down just a little. Without all the compression the calls were crystal clear. However it is barely audible and I have decided to just keep it this way instead of uping my Internet connection.
Overall - Saved alot of money - recieved more features then I had hoped for, some of which have gained me customers already - Very nice experience!
I called the support team and they was able to pin point the issue quickly. Network cable was bad. Jesse was fast, helpful and just brilliant.

I have tested this service for use in my business for the past 2+ months. It has not been reliable and is not ready for prime time. We have given them 2 months to get the service straight and all we get is excuses from their inadequete support personel who simply tell you "the engineers are working on it" or "the phone manufacturer's caused the problems wait for a firmware update". Our phones loose registration daily, the service quality is poor 90% of the time, we lose calls mid-call daily, many features inexplicably stop working for days at a time. As I write this (8am 9/13/2007), our internet is fine but the phones can not connect to Velocitytel to make a call.
Switched our business line over to Velocitytel. Big Mistake. Still no manual for how to set up the system, you have to be very computer savy. They've had outages and companywide server problems that have left us w/o service. 2o minutes on hold to get in contact with support who don't seem to know much. I currently can't even log in to the website because it's down and so are our phones. will be switching soon.
The company does not include any documentation for the administration of their hosted PBX. This makes internal configuration and administration especially time-consuming. As of this date, we have had the equipment and PBX in place for over 30 days, and I still cannot 'cut-over' until all issues are resolved; Parking Lot, Virtual FAX, html version of Call Center Statii, User Access to simple phone configuration, (call forwarding, etc...).
I asked for specific features and was oversold on the system. When it arrived, it came with NO manuals, no clue, no login, nothing. Had to call and call to get the most basic information. Finally the lines when dead, and for two days we can't call out at all. Despite two trouble tickets and urgent calls, it still doesn't work at all.
Service is absolutely horrible. Sales is a lie. There is no customer service. If they could just get their act together they could do fine. One of my phones worked great at one time.
They clearly have no idea how to run a business. Without the reliability we just can't use them.
