Was a Champion customer (they used Level 3 as their backbone) and life was good -- excellent actually. Nexboom took over, no more faxing, no more distinctive ring feature, no more good customer service, people complain to me that when they are ringing me the tone is disruptive, I have plenty of dropped calls now, level 1 tech support is awful, then sit in the que for level two tech support. From what I can disect, Nexboom has Nuvio provide their VoIP service, who contracts out to various backbone providers depending on circumstance. In summary I've put up with it long enough and am switching to Packet 8 as they use Level 3, Inc. for their backbone (like Champion did.)

I had service for years with Champion, no problems. Since the Nexboom switch, service quality is horrible, no fax either, and when I canceled service, they continued to charge me for months and finally, when they stopped, charged me a $19.99 disconnect fee after years of service. Please think hard before using nexboom.

I have been with Alcazar Networks for termination and now origination and they have met or exceeded all expectations even in the one instance of minimal downtime in four years. Their support lines are always open, and their email responses are quick and easy to read (No Canned responses here). I migrated my traffic to Alacazar networks after reading many VOIP reviews, and their sterling reputation as a solid provider in the industry is what sold me. Upon switching over my termination, there was a instant cost savings especially when they turned me on to LRN routing. On top of that, crystal clear call quality and termination to more destinations I had not previously had which all in turn keeps my customers happy (More destinations, lower pricing). Alcazar Networks has helped my business grow over the years with their excellent and unprecedented service and commitment to customer satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone looking for excellent Origination and Termination services.
