Up until recently I was using long distance cards purchased at the local drugstore. The problem with these cards is that you never get the minutes you think you are paying for. Calling within our state to another area code costs 3 times more than I thought it would. Plus minutes sometimes mysteriously disappeared for no apparent reason.
