League Dissolves After WPS, magicJack Owner Reach Agreement
After a protracted legal debate between Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) and magicJack owner Dan Borislow, the WPS has officially folded. Borislow's 2011 lawsuit aimed at preventing the league from terminating his ownership rights — following several violations, fines, and other penalties — resulted in the league suspending play for a year while the issue played out in the courts.
I was going to link to a press release on magicJack's revenue before I saw the contents. magicJack is doing well, the title boasts. Congratulations to them and all that jazz.
Then I read the first sentence.
magicJack has released a free application for download from the Apple App Store. The magicJack app allows users to make calls to the US, Canada, and other magicJack users across the globe for free. The app is compatible with the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
magicJack is the one VoIP service that requires a USB port on a computer to function. The magicJack device weighs less than an ounce and acts as a softphone for your PC with an analog adapter for POTS phones.
magicJack has something big planned for this evening: they're unveiling a new magicJack - magicJack plus - for $50. You get a year worth of phone service and don't have to connect the new magicJack to a computer.
Will magicJack plus work? That depends.
