Internet Phone is another word for "VoIP" (Voice over Internet Protocol) or "Internet calling". Internet Phone is a great way for people to save money on their monthly phone bill.
VoIP.ms is a top-of-the-game Montreal-based Voice over IP (VoIP) company founded in 2007. VoIP.ms focuses on cloud communications and prides itself to be the most feature-rich VoIP provider. Its platform is used by over 80,000 customers namely cPanel, ICON Health & Fitness, Toys'R'Us and others. VoIP.ms offers an intuitive self-serve portal with a wide range of unified communication services including DID numbers in 60+ countries, call conferencing and SIP trunking all under a Bring-Your-Own-Device philosophy.
been using since Dec 2012 service works perfect bill runs somewhere around $4 a month. Does require some patience when setting up the VOIP adapter.

Up date after 2 years with voip.ms

After a couple of years using VOIP.MS, I am still reasonably satisfied with the service. I guess that says a lot, however I have been considering trying another provider. Problems with jitter or a choppie voice is often very annoying. Customer service for the issue has not been very helpful in eliminating the problem. The low cost and excellent features offered are a real plus that cannot be matched by most of the other services. The jitter problem may be with my IP and the amount of traffic because at times the voice quality is clear. I plan to continue to try to resolve the problem and if I cannot I will change to a different VOIP plan.
Excellent features. Service can be configured in many ways. Annoying telemarketer callers can be blocked. About any feature provided by a phone company is available
Sound quality is a bit like a box of chocolates, you never sure what you will get. Sometimes there is lots of jitter.

AVOID VOIP.MS LIKE THE PLAGUE

I joined VOIP.MS and paid my fee. Found out that my DID worked from certain numbers and not from others. Opened a support ticket. So far so good.
Their initial reply was to try to place all the blame on me. When I demonstrated that this was clearly their problem, they simply stopped responding to any updates to the support ticket. Finally in frustration AFTER 6 WEEKS BEING GIVEN THE RUN AROUND I called their toll-free number and demanded my money back. They refused. Also refused to correct my problem.
DO NOT USE THIS CARRIER. THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS USELESS AND YOU ARE WSTING YOUR MONEY.
I have since moved over to LES.NET and no problems so far.
Nothing really different to any other VOIP provider
Their customer service is absolutely abysmal

No regrets! voip.ms was patient and supportive of me as a total noob

I cut my landline and went cold-turkey into VOIP last year. My research led me to two providers who seemed well-recommended and fully-featured: voip.ms and callcentric.com. Between the two, I chose voip.ms for its richer feature set and cost model, based on my usage patterns.
No regrets! voip.ms was patient and supportive of me as a total noob, and I routinely got answers to my (webform-based) issues and puzzlements within minutes or a few hours max. Now I have two homes using their service without a hitch, and with massive savings via my former landline solutions.
(I see another review here from someone complaining of voip.ms "ignoring" them for months. This is totally 180 degrees from my experience. I have rarely had such great service with a company. Really, a superb company to deal with. My friends to whom I recommended voip.ms relate similar tales of patient and near-instant support.)
In about eight months of use I have had a grand total of about about a half-hour's outage, about on a par with our former landline, and it was due to my ISP having a fire at a branch station. Other than that, totally smooth sailing; no faults at all from voip.ms's side.
In both homes I'm using a Cisco/Linksys/Sipura PAP2-T analog phone adaptor and my old standard-issue telephones. I also use the free 3CXphone app on my iPhone and iPad to call from wherever I happen to be where there's WiFi... including overseas. It was really nice to be able to call back to the U.S. from London for a penny a minute. Take that, usurious roaming fees. And you, larcenous hotel phone!
voip.ms = Excellent sound quality + amazing service options + responsive support - something of a learning curve (which frankly I find to be a bit of fun).
Totally recommended!
Stunningly good customer service, call quality and pricing.
None encountered. Well, maybe a bit of a learning-curve for newbies-- but I was a newbie and was up and running in minutes.

VoIP MS exploits the fact that they have some cool features and that porting numbers between carriers is extremely painful. The first time you need to contact them for technical support you'll find the following options:
Phone Number - In a year of service, nobody has ever answered the phone. We've called and pressed every option for sales, tech support, etc, and tried both french and english menus. Voicemails go to a generic mailbox and seem to simply be discarded, nobody has ever called us back.
Email - An email will result in an auto-generated ticket in your tickets page.
Live Chat - Here you can open a ticket with a live service representative.
Once you have a ticket open, they are all generally processed in the following loop:
1. Your ticket will sit idle indefinitely unless you open a live chat.
2. Once you open a live chat, the person will read through your issue and then tell you to try some different settings.
3. If the problem persists and is clearly a VoIP ms issue, the person will inform you that the techs are unavailable but will work on it soon.
4. Wait a few days.
5. Go Back to Step 1 and repeat.
There is no escalation path, you are never allowed to speak with anyone on the phone, the impact on your business is irrelevant. After 2 months of begging them to help us with a major issue and being COMPLETELY IGNORED, our only recourse is to port the numbers away.
It's hard to believe a company would completely ignore their customers, but it has been happening for two months.
We consider this unethical and are planning on submitting reports to the better business bureau, as soon as we can find out where we should report them. I believe it's montreal qubec canada.
The most feature rich, easy-to-sign-up, forward thinking design of any sip carrier portal to date. Lots of options, asterisk friendly, very creative group.
Extremely Unethical Business Practices. Strongly recommend AGAINST VoIP.MS.

voip.ms review

I wanted a low cost VOIP service that was capable of replacing the traditional phone service. I tried Magic Jack and Skype but these just didn't meet my phone needs. Both these services are tied to a computer and computers are subject to all manner of problems. After reading dozens of reviews I ran across a review on VOIP.MS. The reviewer had high praise for this service. I searched the internet for negative comments about this provider and found none. I signed up for VOIP.MS, ordered a telephone adapter, configured the ATA and started using the service. There was a little glitch with my equipment at first but the folks at VOIP.MS were very helpful getting the problem worked. out. My biggest concern is that the company cannot stay in business charging such low rates. I expect to have a very reliable and complete phone service for less than $5.00 per month, yep 5 bucks a month. I am a very satisfied customer.
Has all the bells and whistles you could ever need. Capable of replacing the traditional phone service. Very low price. Good sound quality. Friendly and fast customer service using live chat.
