horrible customer service!

couldn't get the phone to ring. The phone was tested on a neighbor's land line to verify it wasn't a phone issue. Contacted magic jack 3 times and was always told the issue would be resolved in 24 -48 hours. No tracking #, no point of contact for getting the issue resolved.

What's Magic About It?

Pros: Ummmmm. Let's see. Hmmmm. The package was pretty.
Cons: Won't work with a mac. Customer service stinks. There are NO phone numbers if you want to call.

There's no magic in the tiny little box. I spent 2 days trying to get this thing plugged into my Mac. Customer service was a JOKE. I got the impression they could NOT speak English. All they did was continuous ask the same questions.And, you have to upgrade to MacBeta on a Windows XP system. Even that didn't work. I just gave up. Avoid this!!!

very unreliable product

I bought magicJack for 4 months now and I had problem with it day one. The problem constantly had was the voice mail and voice quality and delay. The voice mail works on one calol, quits on next. When this happens, people couldn't leave voice message because the system just didn't let them. I've spent all day chating with different tech repeat the same trouble shoot they told me to do, still having the same problem constantly on the every call basis. In addition, the voice quality is terrible and i have to scream on the phone so the caller can hear me beside the delay respond when people call me. Often, caller hangup on me when they couldn't hear me say hello, hello when the call got connected. They couldn't hear me and thought it didn't get connected and hang up. Recently, i've encountered another problem, I couldn't get connected to the voice mail server at all for 3 days in the roll. Everytime, i chat with the tech, the told me the same thing, they are upgrading the server and told me to wait to try it later. I told hime why it takes 3 days in the roll to upgrade the system and still not working, they just told me today 4.10.08 they don't know how long or when the system is backup so that people can leave me messages. I wonder any of you having the same problem as I am so that's just an excuse not to fix my problem? Please let me know if any of you guys experience the same problem.

Cons: Functionality, Dependabilty, Will only work with computer on,crashes computers

It crashed 2 brand new computers. Had to write BBB to help get refund. Computer MUST be on to work. Make sure to keep EVERY email until you get your refund. You'll probably want one. Good Idea! Terrilble device!!

What a wasting!!!

Pros: None! i don't think there is any pros for this company.
Cons: voice qualify very bad, a lot of problems, actually no customer service, cannot keep up their promises

I got this Magicjack to save money but i guess it was my biggest mistake i have ever done in my lifetime. It never worked properly since i got this. So many issues all the time. Poor voice quality, most of the times cannot receive the calls or make the calls. Voice mail system is so bad that some time it picks up and some time it just goes to the silent mode and caller probably thinks that what is going on there. I mean so many problems. People want cheap stuff but not the problems. Every time I chatted with the tech support, it doesn’t matter if it was morning or afternoon I heard the same answer that engineers are working / upgrading. I mean what are they upgrading every day, can’t they inform their customers that the service will be interrupted during this period. Well, I don’t think I can even give them 1 out of 10. I don’t know why TV stations or Radio Stations are promoting them when they are just useless and waste.

Don't waste your money!

I thought I would be able to save alot by eliminating my phone bill. I received my MagicJack 3/28, since I have Vista on my laptop I had to use the upgrade. Things were ok, until I lost all my sound. I realized that this will not work if you have satellite tv, fax machine or phone extensions. I also ordered the five year plan for $49.95 and was billed for it immediately. I've sent the product back, but I have no idea when I will get my refund.

hi,

I ordered for magic jack somehwere around Mid feb. When i purchased it online, my receipt stated that i cant track my order. I havent received my device till date.

It is 31st March today (45 days since i placed my order). After the one month free service, they billed my credit card ~$46/-. However i havent received the device till now. The customer care number mentioned in the website connects only to those who have the device with them and the number that pops up in my credit card for the customer service of Magic Jack, goes directly to a voice mail who's inbox is full.

I dont know what to do and whom to contact. I have requested my credit card company for a dispute on my bill which would take no less than 2 months.

If any one else have faced such issues, kindly let me know how you guys got it resolved or what to do in such a situation.
