Powered by Avaya Cloud Service Unveiled for UK Midmarket Businesses
As the global demand for robust cloud communications solutions heats up, leading VoIP, UC, and contact center providers continue to map out their own strategies in order to grab a larger piece of the cloud communications market. Aside from launching new solutions and acquiring or merging with competitors in the market, many service providers are also aggressively expanding globally. Avaya’s cloud offering for UK mid-market enterprises will be sold exclusively to channel partners through Avaya’s wholesale distributors, or delivered directly to end-user customers via selected resellers.
Winning Over UK’s Mid-Market Sector
In a release, Avaya said that despite the growth of UK’s mid-market sector, it remains to be an untapped market for cloud communication providers.
Ioan MacRae, UK Managing Director at Avaya, said: “The mid-market sector is the engine room of the UK economy, but is all too often overlooked, with vendors either focusing on larger enterprise customers, or providing solutions that don’t deliver the scalability, resiliency, and flexibility mid-market customers are looking for.”
In fact, business advisory firm BDO revealed that UK’s mid-sized businesses account for one-third of private-sector turnover. The mid-market sector also contributed to economic growth and employment in the past year, adding more jobs when compared to smaller businesses and FTSE 350 companies combined. And with the European cloud market expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 23.2 percent, Avaya says their channel partners are poised to provide UK’s mid-market companies with cloud-based offerings that feature the same rich communications experience as Avaya’s on-premise solutions.

Empowering UK Business with Avaya’s Portfolio of Products
The Powered by Avaya cloud service lets certified channel partners offer Avaya’s Unified Communications (UC), Contact Center (CC), and Video Conferencing (VC) solutions in various deployment options to suit the needs of end-users. End-users can choose to deploy on-premises, hybrid cloud, or fully-hosted solutions, as well as plan and manage their transition to the cloud at their own pace.

Select Avaya channel partners in the UK (including Six Degrees Group and Formation Tech) already offer 'Powered by Avaya'. Meanwhile, partners can also choose to sell 'Powered by Avaya' services directly to their customers should they wish to host and deliver Avaya cloud services from their own data centers. In addition, partners have the option to bundle additional services around a core product or offer the complete suite of Avaya products.
