"I am very satisfied with the Vocalocity system, quality of calls, reliability of service and the features, especially for a small business owner."

by Richard Karlen, Millenium Financial Services

Vocalocity specializes in providing VoIP to small businesses. Vocalocity tries to balance a low price with the features and scalability that small business needs.

Vocalocity’s hosted PBX technology has helped cut them cut phone costs by 50 to 85 percent for small businesses. Part of this discount comes from Vocalocity’s investment in VoIP technology—they own and develop everything they send you. All phones have been certified, and all the software will be updated as quickly as it can be.

Vocalocity also offers a great deal of helpful VoIP features as standard: a unified inbox for fax, email, and voicemail, call flip, voicemail transcription, a useful dashboard interface. And that’s just the beginning. Check with Vocalocity for more information.

Pros
price features quality
Cons
none so far

We are executive recruiters and phone quality is important to us. Cost is also important. With Vocalocity we found a great combination of the two. We saved a lot of money by switching. We also love the features that we got as part of the service. I would recommend that when you make a switch to voip, negotiate with the providers as I got a better deal than they initially offered.

Pros
Price! Quality Service
Cons
none so far

Vocalocity is good for my businessI own a small credit and collections company and our phones are our lives. We were a bite nervous about switching to voip from our old fashioned telephone company, but we had to do it to cut costs. We are glad we did because the quality is actually better at half the price. This was a godsend to our company. Vocalocity did a good job and the transition was painless. We would recommend it.

Pros
Great Features
Cons

Great for Real EstateMy company uses Vocalocity as our main phone system and all of the end users love it. Since we are a real estate brokerage firm we are constantly out of the office so the follow-me feature is constantly in use by our associates. Not to mention the voicemail to email feature is very nice and keeps me from constantly having to call my voicemail, instead I can just access the sound file from my email on my Blackberry and then call the person back. We have never experienced an outage and are hoping that we never have to! Go with this service if you are a small and growing business, it has helped us immensely.

Pros
Great price and customer support
Cons
The initial hiccup on our end

Great PBXI signed on with Vocalocity over eleven months ago and I did so with some reservations. I had heard that voice over ip call quality was spotty but I was in dire need of a cheaper phone service and needed to make a change. As well I had heard that many hosted-voip providers claimed to have, yet did not have knowledgeable tech support teams. I felt the most comfortable with Vocalocity after talking to them and a number of other providers so I decided to go with them. I did experience some problems at first but those were due to a weak internet connection. After upgrading to a more reliable T1 connection the problems went away and the calls have been great. The phones that we use, the Linksys SPA 942, are easy to use and allow us to utilize the full functionality of the PBX. We really like having the ability to move the phones from location to location without having to reconfigure anything. Since we’re a small office and have families, working from home happens a lot and this feature makes it possible for us to handle business as usual. We highly recommend Vocalocity to those out there in search of a top of the line business phone service.

Been with Vocalocity for a year and a half now. The service has been good and the feature set gives you a ton of configuration options. Tech support actually exists there unlike some other voice over IP providers.

good phone serviceI was looking for a phone service provider last year for my consulting start-up, a friend recommended Vocalocity so I thought I would give them a call to see what they had to offer. After talking to them and a number of other providers it became clear that Vocalocity was the one company that was focused on forming long-term relationships with its customers. The Vocalocity sales staff was very clear about prices and how billing worked; most of the other companies were extremely vague. The fact that Vocalocity provides a transparent view of its business was enough to convince me that they were the best choice for my business.

Pros
scalability
Cons
it took me too long to find them!

great serviceMy law firm just recently signed up with Vocalocity after our old phone system bit the dust. Since we are relatively small we were looking for a modestly priced phone solution that could give us a great deal of functionality and features. Vocalocity has given us all of the above. We are saving money compared to our old phone system and we have a feature set that is constantly being updated and improved upon, you can’t get that with an in-house phone system. We love the service and would recommend it to any business owner.

Re: Vocalocity

Pros
Interoperability with other communications devices
Cons
wish the limited extensions had a lower base cost

huge value addAfter the end of last year my company decided that we needed to re-evaluate our overhead expenses due to the down economy. One of the top priorities was our phone system. A number of us were familiar with voip and believed that the technology had improved to the point such that you could not notice a difference between a voip connection and a traditional phone connection. We shopped around and found Vocalocity to be the best fit for us. Since we only have thirteen employees in the office we knew that a hosted solution would be the best, which Vocalocity offers. As well, we are in and out of the office a good deal, so having features like “follow me” and “voicemail to email” are crucial to us conducting business. Vocalocity has added a great deal of value to our small company and I believe that it can do the same for many others.

Pros
features and the dashboard
Cons
none anymore!!

Vocalocity Hosted VoipVocalocity is simply wonderful! I run a small, five person, consulting firm in Memphis, TN and we have been using Vocalocity since we opened shop about two and a half years ago. When we first signed up the service was clearly still experiencing some growing pains. But after we had been with Vocalocity for five or so months, the little glitches cleared up and the service has been great since. We particularly like the new dashboard that they recently released; it’s extremely helpful for monitoring call activity. Hands down, Vocalocity is the best voip service out there.

Re: Vocalocity

Pros
Great support
Cons
None as of yet

vocalocity has a great productAbout nine months ago my wife and I decided to open up our own graphic design shop. We had both been in the graphic design business for over 25 years combined and decided that we could run a more efficient firm than the one we were working for. Needless to say with the downturn in the economy we were forced to find ways to reduce our operating costs. Since most of our jobs are locally based we frequently have clients calling the office and coming in. Since we cannot afford a secretary/office assistant we needed to find a phone system that could route calls for us; Vocalocity was the solution we came to. We looked at a number of voip providers such as Packet8 and Nextiva, but neither of them offered the full range of service that Vocalocity offered. Since signing up with Vocalocity we have seen a great cost savings from the service and it has not caused us a single headache. Our biggest reservation was that voip call quality was sub-par to that of traditional phone lines. This problem has not presented itself once; our call quality has been great. We highly recommend Vocalocity to any small business owner who is in the market for a new phone service.
