Phone Power usually has several distinct offers related to their Freedom Unlimited residential package. If you are willing to sign a long-term contract, Phone Power can guarantee lower rates. Then again, their monthly package isn’t exorbitant, either.
Each unlimited plan, regardless of the term (24 month, 12 month, monthly, or annual) will get you virtually unlimited calling. You can take inbound calls without a limit, and are granted a high outbound calling threshold of 5,000 minutes a month. Free equipment, a second line, and 60 minutes of international calling are also incldued with each plan.

Tech was poor, line noise, echo, static and screeching all the time plus hit and miss service.
Phone Power Just Not ReadyThe service started out with nasty feedback, screeching, broken speech etc....sound quality problems and I have tried to resolve them with Phone Power and my ISP for nearly an month now with no effect. They kept blaming everything on someone else and nothing ever got resolved. Well, they did call me back yesterday on my backup number which was NOT connected to Phone Power, was 25 miles away and on a completely different phone provider (Century Tel), they began explaining when it hit me, the sound quality problems were the same on THIS PHONE too, so I asked him if they used the Phone Power service on all their phones and he said YES! So there it was, I wasn't on Phone Power only they were so problem was definitely on their end not mine. This should have been one of the first tests they perform and it wasn't even on their agenda. Lesson learned. The other HUGE drawback with ALL Internet Phones is when your ISP is down, so is your phone...back to Qwest, at least when the power goes out they still work.

website features need a lot of work and no software for ease of use
The web site offers a few features like "click2call" that, would be really great but unfortunately was dialing the wrong numbers for me. I would click a friends number and get my mom, tried the same one and then got my wife, neither time did I get the number I wanted. customer service seemed really good, I called them after already finished setup just to check the wait time and responce, and was impressed, also their replies to emails we very fast. sound quality is on par with a POTS line, very clear and no lag. I'm hopeing they come out with some software to make teh click2call and voicemail checking easier, but for the price, $9.95 for 6 months, I'm not complaining... yet.
don't let the BS of a free router throw you though, if you cancel the service, you will have to pay t send it back, or they will charge you $99. and the shipping will be out of your pocket.

phonepower is grrrreathave had both vonage an voip.com both had lots of rebooting as well as people could not hear me as well as ecko on line .customer service was terrible but with powerphone it is great to have phone that does not reboot every hour,have clear phone connection customer service is there fast an not from india

reliable, good qualitySo far so good. I've had phone power for almost 3 months. Setup was simple, and it's been very reliable. I moved my number from Verizon and the quality is very comparable.
