SunRocket first started the downslide. Next Packet 8, totally unsatisfactory, left early to go to VOIP.Com. Bad move, worse that Packet 8. Contracted for a year with both and left early from both because of very unreliable service and continual problems. Tried NiteVoip for 30 days very apprehensivly. Much to my delight my phone works for 60 days now. Can't say about support, have not needed it. I called once and got an immediate answer.

No dialing delays, No ringing delays, No echo, no voice transfer delay, Support with an English speaking person by phone
Have not found any in 60 days. My phone has and is working since moving to NiteVoip
Yes

Possibly the best Voip Provider out there

NiteVoip has got to be one of the best voip providers out there, if not THE best. Voip in this day and age can be pretty rocky, with so many companies out there you can get it from, not all of them are good. I've been with Packet8, Vonage, and even ViaTalk. All of them horrible experiences. Sure, they do offer some pretty good specials a lot. Does a tiny bit lower of a price matter when you can't use the service anyways? Or if everyone complains they can only hear you half the time? Or when customer service fails to provide any customer service at all? I personally don't think so. I'd much rather pay a few dollars more and get something that works. That's what I found with NiteVoip. Startup was fast, my adapter came within 4 days from ordering. I plugged it in, and right away it worked, flawlessly. The sound compared to the other companies I mentioned was much different. I couldn't even tell I was using Voip. With Packet8, Vonage, and ViaTalk I'd lose service half the time, and the other half all people could hear was my voice sounding as if it was under water. Nitevoip's call clarity was amazing. It seemed like a nice land line phone sound to me, even my friends said so on the other end of the conversation. After I had service for a few months, my connection did have a couple dropped calls. I called in to Nitevoips technical support and they said my routers firewall was affecting communication. I setup a "DMZ" with instructions a very friendly representative on the phone gave me, and you know what, it worked! Months later, still perfect. I really can't stress enough to anyone reading this that there are so many cheap companies out there with offers that seem too good to be 1. I'm here to say most of those offers ARE too good to be 1. They can offer such low prices because they cut costs in other places, like customer support or the backend that takes care of calls. Shop around, but don't get sucked into the "amazing" deals.

Very reliable, Sound is excellent, Lots of features
Hard to find company, they're like a well kept secret!
Yes

Best provider out there.

Without a doubt, NiteVoIP is the best VoIP provider out there. I tried Vonage and the call quality was very poor as well as the tech support from India. After that I tried Packet8 and they charged me hidden fee after hidden fee. Not to mention with Packet8 my equipment just stopped working for hours at a time. Then I found NiteVoIP from a few good review sites I keep an eye on. Although I couldn't find tons of reviews on them, all signs pointed to a great company. I decided to order and was setup within 24 hours to my surprise. Once I got the equipment in 3 days, it worked right when I plugged it in. To be perfectly honest, I haven't seen the device go down once since I started 7 months ago. Call quality wise, I can't tell the difference between NiteVoIP service and a land line connection, even my friends tell me so. With Vonage and Packet8, people could easily tell I was using VoIP and often said I didn't sound very clear. All in all, NiteVoIP has been A+ in my books, I am glad to have found them and would recommend them to anyone.

Can use overseas, Friendly USA based support, Very clear call quality
Number transfer can take some time
Yes

Best provider out there.

I've been with nitevoip a year now and have loved their service ever since my friend turned me onto them. They have very friendly staff, all my questions always get answered in a timely manner, and they have great support hours. My number switched from vonage in no time at all (just 1 week actually) and I can't begin to write how clear calls are through nitevoip. I give them an A plus!

number transfer time, call quality
no softphone of their own
Yes

Nitevoip is great!!

I originally was with Sunrocket, and then switched to Teleblend, but boy was that a mistake. I actually think Teleblend IS Sunrocket, but thats a whole other thing. Anyways, Teleblend was much worse than Sunrocket so I needed to switch providers. I found a small bit of information on Nitevoip, called their customer service and they were really nice. I spent an hour talking to one of their agents (who spoke english and was in the USA). I decided to signup and got setup within 24hours. I use my own device so I set it up and was ready to go right away. The service was surprisingly clear, better than Sunrocket used to be. Shortly after I requested to switch my number over and the transfer was done in about 10 days. I guess Teleblend gave them a hard time, but I talked to a rep from Nitevoip and they sorted it out for me right away. I think I hit gold! I even called their support on Christmas day and they were there ready to help me in under 5 minutes. Other than the clear calls, I haven't had any outages, and I've even tried it overseas. It works great. It works so well in fact that I ordered 2 of their devices to send to relatives so they can call me easily. Oh and on a side note I love their online access, it's very easy to use, even for an older guy like myself!

clear calls, low price, quick setup, easy online access
voicemail system is kind of awkward
Yes

Reliable service, low cost, friendly support.

Let me start off by saying it has been a long time since I have had such a good experience with a voip company. I originally was with my local cable company and their service was very poor so I moved to Vonage, which was just the same. On top of that I could never understand their customer service agents. I found Sunrocket and I liked their service a lot, they offered a bunch of things and I really didn’t have to contact their support. When they broke up I was in a scramble for another voip company. I first went to Teleblend because it was easy but I soon realized the company must have been very new or just put together so poorly that they had a million things not working and the support was just horrible. Most times you could not get a hold of them easily. I looked around found Nitevoip because one of my friends actually has had them for quite some time, and like their very simple website and straightforward FAQ area. I even tested a call on their page, which apparently runs through their service and it sounded great. Shortly after I signed up for their service, was setup in a couple days, and today my number ported in. The porting took approximately 10 days after I sent in paperwork, which was quicker than they had told me when I called in. They said it could be around 20 business days and some other companies claim they can do it within days. I guess they also said it depends on the previous carrier too though. What I really really like about Nitevoip is that their support staff is all US based so I can understand everyone! One negative thing is that they only provide one type of adapter that requires a router if your modem has just 1 ethernet port like mine does. Maybe in the future they will provide other kinds; I don’t really like having so many boxes lying around.
Update: I read from a poorly written review here that Viatalk owned Nitevoip so I decided to call and ask because I found it very odd. My neighbor has Viatalk and their service is always not working when mine is, I figured there was no way Nitevoip could be owned by them. But I had to ask anyways. I called and talked to a technician who had been there for a very long time and he let me know that Viatalk had been interested in working with Nitevoip in regards to call centers. He said it didn’t work out very well so they had to phase it out. Every staff member on the phone when I’ve called has been great to be honest, and I’ve called a handful of times so far. I hope they never sell their company because Nitevoip is my newfound Sunrocket!

Great phone support, prices, and service.
Only 1 kind of adapter offered and porting can take a little bit of time.
Yes

You all should know knightvoip is owned by ViaTalk. This is part of VT strategy. Service wise you get the same level of ignorance. Same stories ad ViaTalk. Check out their address it is in the same area as ViaTalk and also CSR who answer the line is from ViaTalk. Control panel are the same way it operate as VT. No good. Don't let them fool you.

None: knightvoip is own by ViaTalk.
quality bad, service suck. unpolite customer service. nothing good about them.
