I'm so fed up that I've switched to another company.I had Sunrocket, and when they dropped us without notice, I quickly shopped around for what would serve my needs best. I came across Joiphone, and it had pretty good reviews at the time; I also used to have Joimail as my email provider, and it was great, so I went ahead and signed up for Joiphone.I set up automatic payments, and it looks like they've been trying to con me. I've noticed that on more than one occasion, they've tried to charge me what is due to them, and then a few days later, they charge me a mysterious amount again. This month for example, there's one amount that according to my invoice corresponds to the monthly charge plus the fees plus the international calls; then a couple days later, there's a $39.99 charge. When I call customer service, they try to tell me that they charge international calls separately so that it must be why, which is a lie since the invoice easily shows there was only about $10 due for international calls, which when added to the monthly fee corresponds to the first amount they charged me.Getting them to look into it and reimburse you is a hassle. First they issue you a ticket #, which they never fulfill without you having to harass them. And supposedly the billing department over the phone can't make any billing changes (i.e. canceling the automatic payment feature). You have to email them your request, and basically you never get an answer or change. When you place an international call, you never know if it'll go through. At random, some days and hours of the day it works, some it doesn't. You know how when you call abroad, the rings while you wait for the person to pick up is different depending on the county? Most commonly, you call, but it rings like a US ring, and then you know it's a bad day; it keeps ringing for you, but as it turns out, the person on the other end of the line has been reached and has picked up, but they can't hear you, whereas you don't even know they've picked up. On normal days, my phone number appears on my mom's caller ID; but on bad days, it displays either "restricted number" or a completely different phone number with another country's country code, plus she can't hear me. Of course you get charged for those phone calls. Then the days it "works", expect your calls to be dropped.According to tech support, they can't find anything wrong, so oh well, there's nothing they can do about it.
