It's Great!
Posted on: Jan 22, 2013Jive is easy to use and the quality of the call is nice. The price is great for a small startup like us. The customer service offered is good as well - our requests were always taken care of in a very timely manner and we never had to call back. The only issue is that sometimes you could hear a little overlap between the 2 phone lines we have in the office, but it wasn't too big of a deal.
Would recommend to a friend.

Jive Rocks!
Posted on: Jan 11, 2013Best in class customer support. Excellent technical support. Extremely easy setup and staff provided guidance. Web interface is user friendly and differentiate Jive from other providers.
It would be nice to have credit card automated billing option, but not a big deal.
Firstly I went with Nextiva and faced issues that pushed me away from them. Then I contacted Jive and they’ve been able to address all of my concerns. I am with Jive three weeks now and I don’t regret my decision to go with them. They are definitely the best.

Excellent service, fantastic product!
Posted on: Jan 11, 2013I own two businesses, and I've realized great service is incredibly hard to come by. Jive's service has been impeccable, I love that aspect. As far as the product, we purchased 5 phones including the base, great quality and we now own them as opposed to leasing, which is nice. I was nervous about the phone line quality, but it has met my expectations. The best part of Jive's service is the portal where you can completely customize your call flow including initial greeting, hold music, voicemail boxes, extensions, call routing, etc. AND, it's all included in the price, no hidden charges.
I did not love the fax integration. Faxes come in to our email, which was great because we could choose to print, forward, etc. But outbound faxes was less desirable. This is not Jive's fault, it's just the nature of the VOIP beast, so we simply routed our fax number back to a traditional analog line.
We searched several websites and Jive always came up rated in the top 5 and I see why. Service is wonderful, product is great and we couldn't really ask for more. We have referred the company to several industry cohorts, way to go!

Jive Has Quick Easy Service
Posted on: Jan 07, 2013Price is fair, Web Interface is easy and Customer service is quick and responsive.
I prefer bills in the mail, but they e-mail all the invoices. Going paperless is not a choice but a mandate. Its the only thing I would change.
I really like their easy web interface. I'm no rocket surgeon and I can still get everything done easily and professionally.
Their Fax-to-Email and Email-To-Fax functionality is great. Its something I did not know existed and now I use it Daily, all included no extra charge. Although my business partner insisted on a PBX for our business, now Im glad we have it. Its worth the cost for sure.

Jive is FANTASTIC
Posted on: Jan 02, 2013The user interface/website is incredibly intuitive and modern. Customer service is the BEST I have encountered in my entire career. I have gotten a helpful human being within seconds every time I've called - and the systems all just make sense. Really can't offer higher praise than that!
Just wish I had found them sooner!
I own a small business in Manhattan and have been using Verizon for 8 years. After a particularly frustrating customer service encounter, it just seemed as if there had to be a better alternative - and also a cheaper one. A friend suggested Jive and they're everything I've been looking for, and more. I'm now paying a fraction of what I was paying with Verizon for infinitely better service. I have not noticed ANY difference in call quality - and now I have extreme functionality (like having voicemails e-mailed to me as they come in and a customize-able auto-attendant) and I really just couldn't be happier with the choice I've made.

Simply the Best!

I am a business owner who owned his own telephone system. I spent $11K on it only to find it had devalued to $1K a few years later. I began a search for a hosted option and settled on Jive. I have used Jive for several years now and could not be more satisfied. In addition to the standard features once would expect from a hosting company, they one of the only companies that offered call queuing, which for my business at the time, was a necessity. Their pricing is excellent and the support is stellar. You can't go wrong with Jive!

Jive Not Business Ready

Customer Service is Absolutely Terrible They do not have any redundant backup
I've used GetJive for about 4 months.
The call clarity is good. Not great, but good. There is often a lag in the conversation, but it usually does not affect calls
The main issue is outages. We've had several. Usually they are short, just 10 or 15 minutes, but we've had one that was 2 hours and one that was 10.
Apparently, they only have one data center and if there is a hiccup there, you are toast. During the 10 hour outage, I lost about $5,000 of business and the damage to my business is certainly greater. During the outage, I received 8 emails that there was a problem with the service. I also received another 9 that said services were fully restored, but it actually took another 5 hours before service came back. We called for support, but were not able to get ahold of a live person for the first 6 hours. When we did get a live person, they told us to just wait for 30 more minutes.
It was not possible at any point in the outage to get an ETA for when the system would be back online.
If you are able to run your business not knowing if your phones will work, then GetJive is for you. But, if you are like me and cannot have your phones be out for more than a few minutes, then RUN, RUN, RUN from GetJive.
Under no circumstances would I recommend GetJive to a friend. In fact, I would be happy to sit with them and would spend hours if needed to talk them out of it.

Unreliable outages, poor communication

Unreliable outages! non-existent redundancy (including their own lines), no fall-back settings, takes hours to get an update
We've been using Jive for over a year now, it's more money per line because of the way they charge but we went with them because of the reviews they had here on voipreview. The past several months have left me regretting that investment for the following reasons:
1) 2 service outages over the past couple of months lasting more than half a workday = lost $$,$$$.$$ (yes that's actually how much we estimate this cost us)
2) Their own phone lines are down when an outage occurs, redundancy people? I'm amazed that a phone company doesn't have some POTS lines to at least backup their own lines with.
3) With both outages there hasn't been communication from them about what's happening for hours. Today's outage took them 4 hours to send a email to everyone saying that they were working on service coming back on. FOUR HOURS for just a simple "yes we are still in business and there are people working on making your phones work again" message. This coupled with their own phone lines being down made me honestly consider that they may be out of business. I'm still waiting for our phones to turn back on, 7 hours in.
4) There is no option to have a fail-over number, my previous provider made this available to us in case their was an outage so at least we could take calls on our cell phone and our customers weren't left with a disconnected message.
So in short, I think that this company might have had their act together at one point in time but right now if you are needing to have a reliable phone system with the redundancy and fail safes necessary I would suggest looking elsewhere. Jive just doesn't cut it for business class.
