I like this provider, switched over from Vonage who i was having a lot of problems with but these guys sorted me out and its actually working out cheaper for me.
Support is really good and free from my account unlike other premium rate support numbers.

Exellent Quality!

Posted on: Oct 01, 2007
Pros
Such cheaps calls, and the line is so clear!
Cons
nothing yet!

I've been with YourChoiceVoIP for two weeks now. When I received the VoIP adapter I didn’t know how to install it, so I called their support team who were very helpful, they then told me how to install it and then away we go, it was done. I was so happy, it was that simple an easy to install. After that I never had a problem with it. I chose their Pay As You Go account which I found extremly good, exellent quality, I couldn’t beleive that it was so clear, now im thinking for going for their £9.99 package for more better value and it saves me a lot of money too. I am highly recommending that whoever is in the market for an inexpensive alternative to regular landline telephone, to give YourChoiceVoIP shot at being your first VoIP provider! You will not be disappointed!

Far Exceeding My Expectations!

Posted on: Sep 30, 2007
Pros
Very Cheap rates and Clear Voice.
Cons

I have been using Your choice VOIP for about Five months and although I did have some initial problems with setup the tech support finally came through. Overall the service is excellent and no way would I change back to quest or Packet 8.For £9.99 or £19.99 you get unlimited calls to UK, USA and Canada which so far I have yet to find another VOIP provider with such a great deal. Definet value for money.
no activation fees or extra taxes. Its nice to have a company that plays fair.
I couldn't really be any happier

Good voip provider

Posted on: Sep 22, 2007
Pros
Very Reliable, Excellent customer service
Cons
will let u know when im not happy with something, but so far so gud

been with a couple of voip providers but have preferred this one more, they look after their customers really well, the live support feature on the website is a good one for me as i don't know many providers who offer that.

But more importantly, the things that matter, call quality is brilliant and rates are dead cheap.

I'm currently using my voip account on my mobile handset and the qualitys better than when i did it with other providers, also a geographical number to my mobile is not such a bad thing to have ;)

poor service quality, no customer support, charging disconect fees even when disconnected and equipment returened tin th

Signed up for this service when Sunrocket whent out of buesness, they count time from when you sign up. After a week there was no sign of the Phone adapter being sent on the Carriers Web page after a couple of emails finaly recieved the equipment so much for the month to try the service out, I found the service quality was much worse that the quality I had with Sun rocket. Not only a lot of interference but also a lot of dropping of calls. I was not able to work with them on because as my phone adaptor came 2 weeks into my first month and I figured I should try the phone a couple of times on different days to make sure the problem was not just a bad call. I then requested disconnect through the web sight. This was the only thing that happened quickly. but even though I terminated befor the end of the month period and this was confirmed and I followed their instructions in mailing back the equipment they still charged my credit card with the next months service and a disconect fee. Complaining to support was useless and all I was able to get was able to get was a vage reference to small print (which I feel I had complied with to the letter). Thus I had a very expencive 10 days of VoIP service.

I have been their client for over 4 months now, If you want new phone number every 2 weeks and you have a lot of patience this is the service for you. They have big problems with the tehnical department I think, are incompetents. if you get it to work don't touch it, or do not call them.
i like the price, I like the features, and when it works I am very happy with it. it is sad that they have a good system in their hands and are unable to make it work properly and rake the money in.

Worst Customer Service EVERR!!!!

Posted on: Aug 16, 2006
Pros
Cons

PLEASE Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go with voip.net. This has got to be the WORST service I've every received in my LIFE!.

Here are the reasons why I HATE voip.net and LOVE Vonage.

#1.CUSTOMER SERVICE:Voipnet(HATE) Their Customer Service office and technical support is only available between 9-5 during the week. NO WEEK-ends. This means if you have problems with your account/phone on friday at 5:30pm, you have to wait until monday after 9:00am to try to call them! That's if you don't get disconnected

Customer Service: VONAGE (LOVE)
You can call them ANY TIME for help on ANYTHING and you don't get disconnected. An actual HUMAN answers instead of a MACHINE and you don't get disconnected! 24/7 for Customer service AND technical Support.

#2: Receiving the device
VOIP.NET (HATE)
I never got the dam device to work and the technical help wasn't good at all! I had to return the device and am now trying to ge REIMBURSED! (Which i doubt those stupid asses would do)

Vonage (LOVE)
I received the device, plugged it in and presto! Everything was working and had NO Issues since.

GO VONAGE!

Worst Service Ever

Posted on: Jul 18, 2006
Pros
Cons

I ported four numbers in May 2006 to VOIP.net. One was the primary line and three were "virtual numbers" When service was established my phone service was interrupted for over 24 hours. Upon restoration, only primary line was activate. I attempted to have the other lines activated to no avail. After numerous hours of waiting on hold, I gave up and began the process of porting my lines back to Verizon. Their call center is horrible. Unless you call at 9am when the open, you'll likely be on hold for at least 30-45 minutes. That's if you're not cut off or sent a voice mail box which doesn't accept messages. Two months later I'm still trying to have numbers ported back. They've never restored the three virtual numbers and actually disconnected one. They contract out their technical support work so god only knows who you're actually dealing with. I've had several occassions where voice mail doesn't pick up or the calls fail to forward to my cell phone. I think that sometimes the calls just ring into the abyss. They don't return calls or emails. What a staggering level of ineptitude. I've filed complaints with the BBB and FL Consumer Affairs. Two months later and this has been the worst customer service experience ever. Stay away from them. Run, don't walk!!!!

OK, these guys must be out of business. Haven't had service for weeks. I did talk to tech support 2 weeks ago but they never called back or emailed as promised. Now, can't get a hold of anyone, in any department. Had to go to another provider and sent voip.net an email telling them goodbye.

THE WORST!

Posted on: Jul 14, 2006
Pros
Cons

If you are considering Voip.net for your Voip service, PLEASE RUN FAST! We signed up with them over a year ago and it worked fine for a while, but now it seems they have no staff at all. You used to be able to at least get someone to answer the phone, but now, I think there isn't even ANYONE that works there! If you call for sales, billing, support, whatever - no one EVER comes to the line. If you try and use their chat, you can leave the window open for hours and no one comes on. And today...our phone line is dead. We had a problem porting another number through their service and when they screwed that up and we called to find out what was going on, that's when we noticed their support problems. Good thing we called Packet8 right away and are just waiting to get our line ported over...RUN AWAY!!!

The VoiceStick home phone adapter (GrandStream Handy-Tone 286) is the most convenient way to access your VoiceStick service. Not only will you save money with a low cost calling plans, you can also use all the features of your regular phone such as caller id, redial, address book and, if you have a cordless phone, you are not tied to your computer.

bottom of the bucket

Posted on: Jan 04, 2008
Pros
cheap, open sip access
Cons
poor reliability, business hours only support, awful customer service, poor reliability

Where do I start? The worst is that they have a bug in their billing code. It records 911 calls as international calls which aren't included in most of their packages. A call to 911 generates a negative balance preventing subsequent calls including another 911 emergency call. One has to add the minimum of $10, above and beyond the monthly charge to reinstate service or wait call customer service and argue your case. The balance of the $10 is stuck in Voicestick coffers in case you need to make an international call or god forbid another 911 call. They won’t take it off your next bill.

Customer support is minimal with only business hours (8-5) access, poorly trained people and a desire to close tickets that greatly exceeds their willingness to help customers.

User features are minimal at best despite continuing promises to add features. There isn’t any “call busy” or “no answer” rollover which makes their “business service” useless for most organizations needing multiple incoming lines. If you are looking for fast track features, Voicestick is a Yugo when most people are looking for a Cadillac. Many services give tours of their online interface for prospective customers; Voicestick has to be too embarrassed to offer a tour…

Call quality is fair on their best day, unusable on some days. Finally, there are the outages including the THREE day one caused by server failure. For an operation as big as they claim to be to not have back up systems is inexcusable.

Worst Company on the planet Earth

Posted on: Sep 08, 2007
Pros
Cons

Worst company in the world, Don't ever think about signing up with L2 Telecom for Vocie over IP service, There are no customer service, I have left 50 voice mail after waiting for 10.5 minute on each and every call for 30 days, still not received any reply back, They eat my money.. I don't even know how to cancel my service because they don't give any option to cancel the service on the web and they don't even pickup call or reply any mail. Be carefool This is fruad company. When I signed up for service they sent me MG3 box which was going down 4 time a day and there is no way to contact them Luckly one of other frusturted Voice stick customer told me they there are sending another device which will not go down but They sent me some cheap Voice over IP device without Lan port , now I can't even connect my computer to internet, I had to spent 70$ for ethernet switch just to connect my computer to internet. and Still there is no way to contact them, you have to figure out by your self every techinal issue, there is no documentation they send along with device or on the web. Just do n't even think about signing up with I2 Telecom. I have no choice but to stay with them because I have paid in full for the year, but next year if they give me free service for next year still I would not stay. I hate this company.

Cheaper but offline all the time

Posted on: Aug 24, 2007
Pros
low price
Cons
system always offline, no calls back from support, no emails, its not a reliable phone service. Be carefull

I have voicestick for a year...
The service is ok, but the customer support is always offline, they dont call you back, no emails reply only replys a pre-email script, which gives you a service number.
Everyday off line.
Its sad, you pay what you get.

Cool Package

What impressed me more than anything was that I was able to activate my ATA (Firefox100) device online in a very simple fashion with 3 easy steps. I guess I was up and running in less than 3 minutes after I received my ups shipment which came within 3 days. Calls that I made USA wide, the quality was superb. I have no hesitation recommending the Service.
