I replaced my traditional cell phone plan with tablet plan and used voip.ms among other alternatives of voip services for phone services almost 5 years ago, and never really went back. I am quite happen with voip.ms' quality and functions, it requires a free or paid voip client app, such as Groundwire, to function as a whole. I don't really use a lot of its functions, only need very basic phone services. In that sense, some free choices are also good enough, but not quite reliable like voip.ms. That's why I am in for it. As for recommendations, I really hope the short code text message can work well one day. Then, it will be a good replacement phone for most people.
