this company have good customer service till you talk about to add a new number to your account first time I hear that you have to open a new account in order to activated 2nd port on the router they wont be able to use the same existing account they want to charge you more for activation and others fees I changed over from vonage because the sound quality now I have a new problem just to activated 2nd port and get a new number, with vonage you just have to add a number your self and paid $9.99 to do it and thats it !activated. VOIP YOUR LIFE I thing you guys are to slow for the new technology or wants to get more money from desperate customers.

I signed up with VYL after SunRocket went out of business. VYL offers reasonable service and very good customer service but they are not able to fix a problem I have which is I am not able to use my touchtone to respond to prompts (as in enter your accont number, or enter 1 for so and so, etc). The support folks tried what they could and could not resolve this problem. I had no such problem with SunRocket.
I use Verizon Fios with Actiontec modem/router for internet access. VYL supplied me with Sipura SPA-2102 adaptor. The odd thing is I have absolutely no problem with dialing. (BTW, if it seems to take forever to connect, press # key after the telephone number and it connects quickly.) I have a home based business where I need to identify meself using touchtones when a call comes in. At first, I thought my UID and password got changed without my being aware but, once I realized this was a problem with VYL, I contacted their support folks. They made a change and that made the problem go away on incoming calls but the problem shifted to outgoig calls - I could not navigate through prompts using touchtone. I called back the support folks and they made another change. This went back and forth but the problem is still there. They asked me to "open" or forward the ports 5060 and 5061 and I already have the port forwarding enabled for these ports on my router. We have been at this for almost 2 months now and we are coming to the conclusion that this problem is unresolvable. That is too bad because, in spite of the problem, I would like to stay with VYL becuase they have live people manning the customer service lines and they are very responsive.
If anyone else had this problem with VYL or another VoIP provider and had the problem fixed, please post how you resolve the problem.

Customer support is excellent
but they were not able to fix the problem but not for lack of trying.

Very good support. Eventhough I had some drop call problem at beginning, everything is fixed now. And I am able to do my fax.

Don't waste your money on them! Please, another mini version of SunRocket with bad service i.e., reselling RNK VoIP...

When signing up I asked that my number be ported, I was told it would take two weeks. When I inquired about the progress two weeks later they stated they had not started because they needed a form from me. After sending in the form and confirming they have everything they need, it has been more than 4 weeks and I still do not have the number ported. After having echoes and cutoffs I called and they had me test bandwidth and made some adjustments. I called back after problems remained and asked if I could have the voip device in front of my router, they insisted that we retest bandwidth and that since they had no record of the firt time I called that we first try the same post router configuration with the "new" settings. Problems still remain. I will call one last time but given all the issues and that my number still has not been ported after almost 7 weeks, I will probably find a new service in the coming week.

Web Interface is "Clunky" Why have call logs if the time is wrong..?!!I am on the West Coast.My call logs are East Coast! This is horrible. Customer service made me reboot numerous times then told me it wasn't fixable.

I have been waiting for two weeks for them to fix the problem. I was told this type of problem is a 24 to 48 hour fix. They claim their long distance provider is to blame, but they can't seem to fix the problem.

Customer service answers the phone and is great.
They can't seem to get the problem fixed. I just want to call my mom & dad, is that too much to ask?

I am using this service almost 10 days and very happy with the service. The customer service is # 1. Using the web to change the features of your phone is very easy.The only thing that I can not manage my billing account on web.

Great Customer Service except for not actually fixing the problem.

Can't have a worse company. I signed up with them ...first they took 2 week to ship me the equipment.
then the phone comes up unactivated and they 2 weeks to activate it and that too only incoming, not to mention the total incompetent customer service.
Ended up cancelling the service, got vonage and was up in less than a week.
