While the service within US is good, there is no caller name feature. I had voip previously with Sunrocket and found this feature useful.
However I found that they very frequently block calling cards access numbers to foreign countries. I was trying to call India with Reliance card and found that they block this and want internataional calls to be made through VYL. VYL's rates to India are 3 times higher than Reliance.

I have never found a service operator this good. Not only if their offering better than the others, but their customer service is exemplary. They spend the time and effort to get you up and running and are always helpful when you run into a problem (very few).
Can't say enough good things.

I signed up with VYL after reading the great reviews on this website. My number was ported from Teleblend in about 3 weeks and the service has worked really well with minor occasional hiccups. About twice the price of Sunrocket with my intl calls, but at least it works. Teleblend was a joke!

Customer service was exceptional when I asked them fairly technical question about wiring our house with VoIP for life. They even gave me a wide choice of what virtual numbers I could get, unlike Vonage. I actually chose a nice easy to remember number.
I love having multiple virtual numbers and using a softphone for my laptop at no extra cost!

I have to say that even though VOIP Your Life is my first experience with VOIP phone service, I am genuinely pleased. My local cable provider offers VOIP, but at $12 more per month with practically no call features and no technical assistance after 5pm M-F. VOIP Your Life techs have been consistently proactive to help me tweak my connection and achieve what is in my opinion a better phone connection than my original landline. Thanks Voip Your Life!

I don't think the VOIP box I was sent is new, but it works fine anyway.

The provided VOIP service had major issues:
- Te answering system practically did not work. Setting the system was very hard; we could not understand the automated voice instructions. The voice was broken up, garbling. Many calls were not transferred to the answering system.
- Many times the incoming calls were not connected. I made many test calls from my cell phone and they did not go thru.
- Often time the quality of the connection was poor. It was hart to understand the person from the other side.
Also, they want to charge me $39.95 cancellation fee which was not mentioned to me at the time I placed the order. They are probably mentioned in the agreement, but agreements are many pages long.

I have been the customer of four VOIP companies but not by choice. I would've enjoyed finding a quality company and then just paying for good phone service. I started out with Broadline/FDN Communications which coming from a landline to VOIP, I learned what a hassle it is when you have trouble with your service. I had nothing but problems, echos, calls not going through, couldn't receive calls, dropped calls, you name it. I tried to work with them while they got the bugs out of their system but after prolonged service outages I switched to Sunrocket. Yes, that Sunrocket. I think you know the story behind those guys and how they pulled the plug on everybody. Just when the service had started to get reliable they disappeared leaving me with the option of choosing one of two carriers without paying an activation fee. Well... I chose poorly, I selected Teleblend which made Broadline's services seem like the greatest, ultimate VOIP service in all the universe. To say that my service is horrible would be un1, I have NO SERVICE. They tell you to fill out an online trouble ticket and their engineers are working around the clock to correct the problems. Oh yeah, and it will take 7 to 10 days to restore service, HUH? Well I am going on 1 month without service but boy their billing dept works flawlessly to charge my credit card! The only reason that I'm still dealing with them is that I'm waiting for my number to be ported over to VOIP Your Life of which I'm now a customer. I've had the service for about a month now and it's great. The calls actually come in and amazingly when I pick up the phone there is this tone which indicates I can make a call too! Was that too sarcastic Teleblend customer no-service? Anyway, if you are searching for a VOIP company that provides good service as well as a real person that speaks English when you need help, these are your guys. I had a few minor issues that were quickly resolved after calling support WITHOUT BEING ON HOLD!! I challenge you to try that with your existing landline company or current VOIP provider. Do me a favor and if you're swayed into activating service because of my testimonial, throw me a bone and give customer service my phone number so a honest working guy can get a free month of service. Or if you want to hear the sound quality before you buy give me a buzz at 407-705-2422. I think you will be very happy you switched over to VOIP Your Life like me. Have a great day, Daniel Kirk Sr. St. Cloud FL.

features like caller id block, privacy *78 to send calls straight to voicemail for a good nights sleep
