for 3 days (or more ) I cannot recieve calls. I can make outgoing calls. CS does not call back. email from vinics say they fixed. But problem persists. Can only reach a live CS late in evening, but they know nothing, hard to understand and quite rude. I reccommend you avoid this company. I have been very frustrated. They care nothing about customer service. This is my 3rd problem with this service in 3mos. Vonics: fix this p.n. 713-490-3011
Extremely hard to get a hold of customer service. System breaks down and no one calls back. Callers complain that they get a message that phone is not in service. Messages not sent to voicemail at times. Hard to retrieve messages. Interruptions during calls.
I was a Sunrocket victim, chose Vonics as replacement. Sales was easy to reach, and I tested their tech support before ordering. I decided they were OK, especially with ability to set up foreign number. They have evidently been overwhelmed for two months, and have been IMPOSSIBLE to reach for assistance, and highly unresponsive by email or voice mail. I canceled a porting request because it could not be executed quickly. I changed my directory listings to the new vonics number. Then, two MONTHS after the porting request, and one month after I canceled it, they ported my old number anyway! They have a very good product, but horrible customer service! I suspect they are actually in Pakistan but have a Potemkin village "office" in SFO.
Stay Away at all costs!!
I have been on the service for a month and it has to be the worst experience yet. You simply cannot get hold of anyone in customer service. No one answers support calls - after 5 minutes you are rounted to voice mail and I have never had a message answered. In the past week, they have stopped answering e-mails too.
30 days later, my number was ported from SR. emails to customer service were answered usually within 24 hours recently. The only issues I have now are the distinctive rings keep changing after being selected and occasional it seems connections to thier service goes out at the same time their web site goes down.
I have had the phone adapter in my home for about one month and it's still not working. I have left 4 voicemails, numerous emails (about 8), and have had only 2 responses back from the emails. None of their suggestions helped me get connected. They have send emails stating that since sunrocket went out of business, they are understaffed and are working to remedy the problem. But that does me no good. I think I may have to go to another company.

I signed up at the beginning of July after ditching Time Warner/Comcast.
Things were fine . . . until yesterday. My phone stop working. No dial tone, nothing. Of course I power cycled the ATA (innomedia) the cable modem, and the linksys router. Still nothing.
I called the sales #, customer care #, 5 times; got nothing but voicemail. I tried e-mail and I got 2 from the same person (I think) telling me to power cycle the ATA. which I told them I did when I sent my original request.
Today still no phone no dial tone and no service!
Will keep you apprised.
It's been about 6weeks since I ordered vonics and they still haven't ported my old number.
Vonics offered us service in 3 business days. It took eleven business days to get the box and it came without directions. Vonics told us it would take seven to ten days to get our telephone numbers ported over. It has been well over 6 weeks.
Vonics told us when we move, we could get a new area code number in the town we live in. We have sick relatives thus 911 is integral. Vonics later said they could not provide the new telephone number in the new area code. We lost service for four days already. No one picks up the phone at Vonics as far as I can tell. We are put on hold and finally you can't hold any longer, you are asked to leave your name and phone number. No one has ever called us back.
We got scammed by Sunrocket and I feel Vonics is similar. My basis for this complaint is plain and simple --- our phone is out for four days, we're technically savvy and Vonics has no answer for us, nor are they offering refunds, credits, a fast shipped new gizmo etc. We paid upfront as they require and feel very suckered.
I've been using them for the last 3 months, Comcast was getting too pricey for the service. Installation is as simple as he can be; behind a home network was up an running in two minutes. Transfered number in about 6 weeks, no problem. Called Customer service a few times and they were very responsive till SunRocket went out of biz. They've got swamped then but it's now back to normal (4-5 days of hell). Using their WorldFone option and have an Italian number too; the folks over there save a bunch calling a local number. GREAT feature; have a nice list of country you could have a number for...My business calls are now so cheap I do not even need to expense them anymore...(a couple of bucks a month...I look better not mention it and get my job done...)
Price is good, connection quality is as good as the regular land line and the price certainly beats the Comcast Digial Service (and others I compared too)
