Voip.net has been one headache after another. The latest problem is that while ongoing calls work well, for the last two days, all incoming calls immediately flip to a busy signal when the call is answered. Of course there is no way to contact a representative at Voip.net. As previous posts states, a call to the company immediately goes to a voice mail system that does not even allow you to leave a message. Instead it states that the message system has not been set up and you are disconnected. I am switching to another Voip carrier...the only question is how do I cancel my order and return the hardware when I cannot get in touch with the company???? STAY FAR AWAY FROM VOIP.NET!!!

Be Aware! I found the invoice amount different from the amount shown in my credit card statement. Besides, it is impossible to contact their staff. I think the company is going to be closed....

Their own phone service doesn't work! I cannot contact them via phone or their "live chat". Every phone tree branch leads to "this person's voice mailbox is unavailable ... goodbye".

I have been with VOIP.net a year now and after this review you will wonder why. VOIP.net is a Sub Service Provider of Broadvox. So if you are considering either one, one can only assume that Broadvox is responsible for the issues and problems as much as VOIP.net is and that service experiences will be similar. Feature-wise they are pretty good. If I could have entered a negative number for customer service it would have been a -10. My longest two on hold-times to get customer service have been respectively 74 minutes and 64 minutes. I have spoken with customer service at both companies during the port process of a number, because VOIP.net has to rely on Broadvox for the port process. On one port request I went 5 months with no success and over 45 days with one that was successful. My most recent experience which has prompted me to write this review was the automated disabling of my phone line. This past Saturday they disabled my phone service after they tried unsuccessfully to charge the Monthly Service Fee to my credit card on file. During this past month my credit card company had issued a new expiration date for the card. I had not thought to go update this information with VOIP.net. I have another service provider who uses the same credit card to bill there services. Here is how they handled this situation compared to VOIP.net/Broadvox. When they encountered a problem, they sent an email to me letting me know that I needed to log on to my account and update my credit card information. They gave me a grace period to do this without disabling the service. Once I realized that I needed to do this, I did so and suffered no interruption of service. Now with VOIP.net/Broadvox they allowed their computer system to knockout my phone service with NO WARNING and AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME . . . On the weekend when they were closed and I could get No Customer Service! As of this writing I have been down for 2 days+ and I have been on the phone with customer service with no resolve. My credit card was updated and charged immediately, but I still have no phone service. Also let me tell you about my credit so you can understand how stupid this is. I have A++ credit. My net worth is decent and they have NEVER had a problem in getting their money until this incident. Now here we are 2 days later Monday afternoon and still no phone service and 4 phone calls made to customer service with No Resolve. I am filing a complaint on this with the FCC. They need to implement a similar rule to what has been put on the power companies, where they can not disable service until after a reasonable notification that they are going to do so. If they are going to provide services of a utility nature, they need to function and be governed as one. These are the only voip providers I have had experience with, but this should serve as a lesson to what you may experience with others.

This company has no support. They cut off my service because my debit card number changed this month and I could not login to change it. I sent an email to their company and I usually call for support but when I do - They do not respond to email and their 877-VOIP-NET number with options 1 (customer service) or 2 (technical support) goes to an extension that says GOODBYE!!!
I travel and while away my wife and child have no phone service and we have no one to call .
This is the second time this has happend and I do not like the feeling of having no one to call to get the service I am paying for. I am dropping them today for a more expensive carrier with more support and reliability.

Do you know this company must only have one employee. I can't believe they have more than one as any time I call I only get the one guy answering the phone. They took longer to get the Modem to me and even longer to get me my local number, but that isn't what I'm complaining about.
Quality----of voice reception "Sucks"!
Technical support----"Sucks"!
Forget about getting ahold of anyone there, you wait forever, get older while your waiting and wind up with nothing but music!
Now I am trying to cancel with this company and I still can't get ahold of anyone. Forget emailing them, it always bounces back. So now I'm just going to go elsewhere and cross my fingers---for your information this is the 3rd Voip phone service I've had and it doesn't get any better. You just get more frustrated!
So my recommendation, get them to give you the Modem, set up and number free "In Writing or your Money back" so you can claim it back from your credit card.
P/S/ I now have two modems, anyone want to buy one cheap?

What this company's website doesn't tell you is that you will have to wait about 3 weeks to actually get a number that works on your phone. Signed up with service, never received a confirmation email of service signup. Received equipment 1 week after initial sign-up, went to company's user portal to register equipment & found out that there were no numbers available in my area ~ requested a larger metropolitan area & was told that the number was available. Waited for all changes to take place as was told to do by CSR. Still no number available to for my use. Contacted their tech support department via User Portal & was told that I had a connection, however, a phone number for my chosen area was not available & that it would be 10-14 days out b/4 there would be a number for me. Tech Support then advised that even though I didn't have a phone number assigned I would be able to make calls out.
If I had been told that a phone number would not be immediately available to me, I would not have signed up with this service. I have since requested a refund of my $$$ as per their 30-day-money-back guarantee ...
