Voipgo Reviews

Voipgo offers residential calling plans starting at $7.95 a month so that you can save money on your home telephone system.

Voipgo Unlimited Monthly

Voipgo’s unlimited monthly plan is great for the commitment-phobe. For $17.95 a month, you get unlimited incoming and outgoing calls to the US and Canada. There’s no contract, just a regular monthly charge - and you even get one month free. All 18 features offered by Voipgo are also included with this plan.

Voipgo Unlimited Yearly

For those who want to save a little bit (and don’t mind a contract), Voipgo’s annual plan is a good choice. For one year of service, you pay $149.95 per year- that’s $12.49 a month. With this plan, you get everything you’d get with the unlimited monthly plan, but for a cheaper price. Sometimes, it pays to commit.

Voipgo Incoming

Voipgo’s incoming calling plan allows you only to receive calls - you can’t make calls. With this plan, you do not receive one month free, nor do you receive all 18 features: only 12.

Bottom line

The best plan for your money is Voipgo’s annual plan: it combines the most features with the most cost savings.

All of these plans include one local phone number and you can bring your own device. None of these plans require an activation fee or a cancellation fee. Setup is also free. If you want a virtual number, it costs an addition $3.95 a month.

After using the service for a couple of month, and being geenrally unimpressed with call quality (line noise, dropped packets, etc) I decided to cancel. There was no problem cancelling, or at least it seemed that way. Well over a month after cancelling, my credit card was charged for monthly service. The real kicker was that the amount charged was a coupld of dollars more than the original monthly fee, and there were 2 (yes, double) charges rather than just one!
Surely a mistake, I told myself, which is what the first Voipgo rep I contacted claimed. I waited for their inquiry to be comeplted, then contacted them a second time. This time, they claimed that there was no customer record in their system for me at all. Then after more back and forth, they claimed that they had sorted the issue out and would credit my account (remember, the account they claimed didn't exist). Oops! After pointing this out to them, they stated that "a cheque was in the mail". I waited and waited....no cheque.
After a few weeks, I contacted them to get a status on the cheque, which was when they indicated that I would be forwarded to their accounts manager. He claimed that the cheque was sent, but due to an error on their part, it never made it to the destination. Then came another blunder - he asked me for the exact amount that was owing to me!
Since that last contact, I have sent at least a half dozen messages, all of which have gone unanswered. I've written off the ~ $45 charges and have contacted the credit card company. I hope that this note will save someof you the grief I experienced, cause anyone considering using Voipgo to take a closer look, as well as keep current users aware.

One of the better providers out there. Not too fancy with features but everything does work. The customer service is not based in the US and Canada and everyone does speak fluent English. I called them twice and both times someone picked up within 5-6 rings. They guy that signed me up did a follow up call the next day, I really liked that. I would recommend to family and friends.

Well Organized
Could Improve on the features but good enough for me.

After SunRocket, I moved to voipgo as my phone provider. I was a satisfied customer of SunRocket, but when they closed the doors, I needed to fine a service that was up to the same standard (reliability and price). I had problems getting my number ported over to voipgo, but I can not blame voipgo since it was a problem getting the number release from SunRocket. Voip needs to improve their support service for better response to issues, but overall, I satisfied with the service.

Reliablity and Price. Responsive to submitted trouble tickets.
Needs to have 24/7 support available to customers.

Good service, quick response to inquiries, used it over 10 months now, used my own Linksys SPA 3102 and VoIP GO to call long distance using local line – its great, I am happy.

I have been using VoIP GO service for over Six months and the service is great. Their customer service is very good, helpful and quick to respond. I had my questions answered in the middle of the night and they worked with me to fulfill my requests. I even had senior management responding to my inquiries and explaining to help me understand. I felt my requests and inquiries were dealt with care.

Good customer service, has cheap Virtual Numbers, yearly lower price plan, no setup fee, BYOD capable - ITS ALL GOOD.

This is my opinion.
They were and still are the cheapest. Their customer service is pretty good, during regular hours at least (never called during late night or early mornig). I’ve never been double billed. I check my missed called through voipgo.com so I’m on the site a few times a day. I havevnt experienced any ridiculous down time.
Now, I find it very very odd that people are mentioneing days of down time, when the longest I’ve ever had was a few minutes. I’m on the site at least 5 times a day, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that down. Call limits? Threatening messages? Insulting Customer Service? I have a feeling that this is just the competition making things up. Comments of people saying that they are a scam or non-legit that’s just absurd. I have to admint they billed me for a long-distance call incorrectly for the wrong rate, but they fixed it, credited me the difference and since then no billing mistakes have been made.
I’m may be wrong about my earlier comments about the fake postings, and that they may in fact be bad service related but at least they are extremely exaggeraited. I would very well recommend voipgo to my friends and family….and I have.

Voipgo's been pretty good to me. I mean they've had their ups and downs but that only related to cusotmer service. I have a freind that works their (he's the one that got me Voipgo - mostly for the discount), and even he said that they've been a mess for the last couple of weeks but they did get more staff in and new equipment, he's saying that they're really is a future for them.
I give Voipgo thumbs up. I know some wont agree because of the cusotmer service, but come on, if the service is working how often do you need to call your telephone company?

Good, reliable service.
Customer Service busy at peak hours, but other then that nothing.
