Everything you could ask for
I've been a customer of voip.ms for quite a number of years. There has been
very little to complain about during that time. The service integrates
seamlessly with my PBX and other edge devices, enabling me the ability to
take my voip number portable wherever there's access to internet. That
capability is helpful when I'm residing out of province for a little while.
I don't own a cellphone and therefore having SMS capability has been helpful.
Some two factor authentication services insist on sending a validation code
via text message. It was a great addition when MMS was added, prior to that I
would miss any text messages containing attachments. Some service providers
still appear unable to send SMS and I am unable to send texts to short code
numbers, which limits my ability to enter contests where you text your entry
to a 5 or 6 digit number. The pay per use rate is my default option. The rate
makes calls inbound and outbound very affordable. There are a plethora of PBX
services available such as voicemail, call forwarding, conference calls,
voice receptionist, etc that I do not require, however I've added a few
numbers to my address book so that their caller ID name is displayed as a
name I recognize versus a repetition of their phone number. Maintenance is
typically conducted during off peak times and has never impacted me directly.
There was one instance where someone was trying to hack my account, the
administrator informed me of the suspicious activity and assisted me with
securing my account.
