I've been with them for more than 2 years now. I even got rid of my iphone.
Only using my ipad and softphone on my computer.
I can't say it was easy to set it up... It took many trial and errors...
But it is working fine. No complains there.
I wish they would develop a real connection for the SMS. I'm using Bria as a
Softphone. Being able to connect the sms with it would be awesome. I guess
it's not in their priorities.

Price. This service is one of the cheapest around. They are the only one to offer some kind of a sms at that low price. Once it's working, I can say it's reliable.
Features. SMS. Not a real SMS service and certainly not real time. Sometimes SMS comes in 5 to 10 minutes after they were sent. I was not able to make the ios app that someone built worked. Very technical information, not user friendly. You must be a real geek to understand that stuff.

I have been using VOIP.MS for over a year now. Their service is fast and we
have had no issues with the connections or quality of voice. What makes them
stand out for me is their exceptional customer support. I am a neophyte when
it comes to VOIP. I have installed a FREEPBX PBX. There is no doubt this is
a different world, even for a company that is hi-tech. The concepts,
acronyms etc are all foreign even compared to more complex data
communications (networking). Whenever I ran into a problem, I would "chat"
with their tech support and they would point me in the right direction, even
when it had nothing to do with their service, but with my PBX configuration.
I am not suggesting they were customer support for my PBX, but they gave me
hints where to look. They researched their end to make sure their end was
functioning properly and when confirmed would say, we are operating
correctly, BUT...have you thought of........ or maybe you should look into
the settings of this area in your PBX.

Right price, solid service, but most importantly to me, knowledgeable
friendly customer service.

This service is what telephone service should be. The DID filter helps block
telemarketers and using the "wildcards" you can prevent them from bypassing
the block. What I really like is their voicemail service ....you set up to
have the voicemail and forward the message to your email as an MP3 file and
delete the file...you can call back on a computer phone or regular phone and
not worry about remembering or deleting the msg. The price is good. When I
travel I take the adapter box and a phone with me...it's as if I'm
home....works everywhere...love it!!!

I've already helped a number of friends get on the service...cost is very
reasonable...even overseas calls

Great service....great support

The rules introduced in the company virtually prevent the registration of
selected customers, from some countries can only pay by wire transfer, which
is difficult and expensive from countries other than the recipient country.
It is a waste of time to register when you have to go through with their
strange rules, which are already quite random, and you do not know what will
happen in a moment. First I was asked to scan my document (I sent), and then
it turned out that my country can not pay by card, paypal etc - only through
wire transfer. No sense, waste of time. I do not recommend.

Lots of features.
You can waste a lots of time when trying to pass their "security rules" then you will be unable to do something because of some strange reason they have.

I've used www.voip.ms for years with at max a dozen numbers (DIDs). They've done well the vast majority of the time until now. I recently attempted to port out a number. It’s only reasonable that voip.ms use automation as the primary means of fulfilling ports. Computer automation is FAST and I expect 99.9% of ports succeed via automation. In this case, despite having voip.ms provide me the necessary authorization info via email (matched my account records as well) and emailing it to the receiving carrier, it’s been 9 days, hours of frustration, and a dozen unsuccessful attempts. Account Name **** **** Address *** **** **** City **** State ** ZIP Code ***** No pin Account number and BTN- ********** Voip.ms assures me if only the receiving carrier would share the PON (port order number) identifier with them they'd investigate and resolve whatever the hangup is. I find it fishy voip.ms doesn't already see the PON when each port attempt takes place (it seems they're outsourcing that part of their business to another vendor and collaborate poorly) It's equally suspect as to why the receiving carrier doesn't see the PON identifier either. The receiving carrier may outsource as well. When the automation doesn’t succeed, my experience has been that voip.ms shirks assuming ownership for the problem and an effective secondary means to allowing these to succeed. The receiving carrier has been willing to conference call, chat, email chain etc. Especially because the receiving carrier could be communicating with voip.ms the very moment the request is initiated, voip.ms acknowledge and promptly resolve any hitch in the process. Voip.ms has stonewalled such reasonable efforts. It seems rotten a person should have to go so far as to contact the FCC/NPAC. I used to be an evangelist for their service. Now, I'm just desperate to get my numbers released voip.ms

Service used to be great. Hopefully they just need to change their business process regarding port outs.
If porting out doesn't work via their automated system, brace yourself to get voip.ms to make reasonable efforts to resolve the problem.

VoiP.ms was recommended to me by our telephone vendor. Reasonable price - although we had to prepay with a credit card for the service; did what we needed it to do. Had the service for several months when we decided that we didn't need it any longer. We hadn't used up all of the prepaid amount, so I contacted them about cancelling the account and getting a refund. I was informed that the refund couldn't be processed to the credit card, because the payment was "too long ago". They asked for a PayPal address. I explained that I don't have one, and they said that a paper check would have to be issued. I had no problem with that, and we cancelled the DID number. Here we are, 3 months later. I am STILL waiting on my refund check. When I contact them, all I am told is that, it takes time, and that they can't assure an ETA. I've been told multiple times that it has been escalated, but there are no updates. I've been told to wait for them to contact me back. Which they never do. I have had to initiate every communication. I'll also be posting this review on the BBB website.

The service works well, so long as you plan to never, ever, ever, cancel your account.
Customer service completely and totally sucks. They really don't seem to care at all that my account has been cancelled and they owe a refund.

Voip.ms website for config is "this site can't be reached" on Google search. Has Voip.ms gone under/out of business? How do I get my DID number back from them? Anybody have any thoughts? I set up a voice.ms account yesterday and configured that account using an Obi202 today. I was running into difficulties with the configuration so-called "customer services" for support and was told that voip.ms does not recommend obi talk and I could not get configuration help other than through the receipt of a pretty technical pdf sheet that they provided a link to. When I asked which devices they do support I was told "Can't recommend a device as I'm not a user or haven't used them all". In short, the voip.ms service agents are so ill-trained they know zippo about the devices that work on the service that employs them. The alternative is that they are instructed to avoid answering. I gave up on that customer service rep (Fred) and sought the help I needed through other online forums, which I found. After configuring the service, I made my first call on the voip.ms line (which is through their Vancouver 2 exchange) to my cellphone, my cellphone indicated the incoming call was from Russia so I placed a support ticket with voip and asked two questions. The first was: What do I need to do to reflect that the call was placed from the Vancouver area, not Russia? The second was: Is voip was a Russian based service? Neither of my questions were answered by the support agent (John) but I did get some lame excuse about why Russia might be shown as the origin of the call. That excuse did not sound plausible. Of the $20 I uploaded to my voip account yesterday, $10.10 was consumed in setting up which includes a month's outgoing calls, which is pretty reasonable. However, a voip service that mistakenly indicates I'm placing calls from Russia will result in so many calls not being answered that the service is not worth having. That, along with the quite derisory quality of customer service I received, and the risk of voip.ms being a Russian based company with whatever potential security issues that might attach to that circumstance, means I'm dropping them today like a hot potato.

Cheap, but not as cheap as they advertise.

That means that they support the vast majority of devices, applications and servers compatible with VoIP and thus, furthermore providing this feeling of doing what you wish to without being forced into a device or an application.

Whether you are looking for a solution at home, on your mobile or at work, VoIP.ms covers it all, and it’s incredibly affordable!
